I just wanted to push back on the claim that AJ and Fury are somehow interchangeable fighters because your argument in the previous post was pretty weak. But fine, let me push back on the Fury and the UK media narrative BS.

At 1:37, the interviewer asks Warren:

Q: “Now, Frank, I don't know if you saw Dana White's comments. You probably did. I know you're big on social media. Dana White said that he is going to be the lead promoter for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.”

A: “Tyson's contract is very clear. There's no involvement from Zuffa Boxing.”

Q: “Wait, why do you think he said that? Why?”

A: “Ask him [Dana]. Don't ask me. I've got no idea. I know what the contract said.”

So you're telling me Fury suddenly pivots to the U.S. and Zuffa Boxing, and somehow the media is supposed to support moving the goalposts? If one party can't even respect the terms of the contract, then it's hard to blame the other side for a stalemate. Fury was the one who initially wanted the fight in Ireland (which Hearn has said was only on Fury's contract) and then shifted toward America. He clearly wants Dana White involved. Meanwhile, AJ's team has consistently maintained that the fight should take place in the UK. If the contract calls for the fight to take place in the UK, why should Hearn be expected to accept sudden changes to the arrangement? And ultimately, who walked away from the stalemate? Fury did. You can't constantly change the terms and then blame the other side for refusing to follow you.

You seem to misunderstand who’s really pulling the strings here.

There it is in black and white. Fury has no control over the venue. What happened is Turkey has changed the venue of the fight after getting involved with Egghead. Fury has obliged in an effort to make the fight, not avoid it. Hearn hasnt obliged due to tax differences caused by GBPUSD, and due to Egghead’s involvement.

Yet instead of revealing the true reasons for the dispute, in effect that he wants to secure himself and his fighter more money, Hearn instead tries to play the role of the oracle of british boxing. Which as his track record shows is smoke & mirrors.

To summarise, regardless of what he said and she said is in the contract, this is entirely a dispute between AJ-Hearn (as Hearn represents AJ) and Turkey-Egghead. This has absolutely nothing to do with Fury ducking the fight.

I do understand that Hearn and AJ want the fight in the UK for their own selfish reasons, but you can’t disregard the fact that the contracts have been changed with Dana White’s involvement. That makes the situation quite different from four months ago.

Back then, Hearn was basically just kissing Turki’s ass and saying Turki had the final say on where, when, and how the fight happened, but ultimately it it comes down to the promoters. But if Turki is supposedly in full control of the location, why put the fight in Ireland? The time-zone issue is clearly resolved by holding it in the UK, and Ireland doesn’t really offer anything to Turki that the US or UK can’t offer.

To me, it’s pretty clear that Fury was bringing up this Ireland and now is bringing Zuffa nonsense to muddy the waters and spoil the deal. It’s just a sneakier way of ducking than giving AJ a ridiculously short amount of time to sign a contract.

And let’s not forget that on Fury’s own TV show, he was literally celebrating when the AJ fight failed to reach an agreement. So fair play to him; he’s done a brilliant job of fooling a lot of people. But the greedy belly isn’t fooling me.

 

Fury isn't the one calling the shots or paying for the fight though, that just makes no sense. If he breaches contract, he's liable.

It seems like that Fury is happy to fight wherever and is following Turki's lead.

 

I just proved that there has been a breach in the contract because Dana White is now planned to be the promoter of the fight. Whether Fury is deliberately derailing the fight or the fight himself or simply following Turki, who may be the one derailing it, that’s beside the point. Either way, it isn’t Hearn’s or AJ’s fault.

 

It's hardly Fury's fault either, because he has no say in it.

 

The situation hasn’t changed in respect of the money men putting up funds for the fight & therefore dictating the terms of where it takes place. The money men now believe that the fight makes commercial sense in the US. As per Hearn:

“However, he’s also the one paying the bill. So really he’s got to look at where that fight makes sense for the business and for them aswell. So wherever it is, it is.”

I get people not liking that guys in suits call the shots - I’d like to see it happen in the UK. But at the end of the day we don’t live in disneyland, we live in the modern day world of 2026.

Correct me if I’m wrong, your perspective here is that Fury has purposefully muddied the water signing a contract with Ireland as venue, then got on the blower to Egghead to get him involved to purposefully change the venue. All of this to scupper the fight.

As per Hearn’s previous April statement:
“That’s not down to us to make those decisions, not AJ, not Tyson Fury.”

This tells me Fury has no control over the venue, its all up to the money men. Fury has accepted a change in venue to make the fight. Hearn has not. The dispute is entirely between Hearn & the money men.

But to manipulate the public, he’s pretending to be the oracle of british boxing which then pushes blame over to the Fury side of the camp. That is my main point

 

Eddie Hearn has about 48 hours to swallow his wierd ego or this is dunzo

And he can try to sow a bs story but it won't hold.

 

I think the fight should be in the UK.

However.....money talks.

Ali-Foreman was a huge fight between two Americans....and it was held in Zaire ( now Congo). Ali-Frazier III was held in Manila, Philippines. I don't recall one American boxing fan whining about the fights not being held in the US. And these were title fights, unlike Fury-AJ.

Everyone stop crying; just make the fight happen already.

 

Regarding Hearn; how does he explain agreeing to have the fight in Saudi Arabia in 2021, when it would have been the biggest fight in the sport at that time, but in 2026 it absolutely has to be in the UK? The fight now is not going to be quite as big as it would have been in 2021.

 

Notice how the only one who's not talking (other than the taciturn AJ) is Turki...?

Frank says he signed a contract .... Eddie says he signed a contract .... Dana and Fury are saying it's Dana's fight and that Eddie's been thoroughly sidelined....

(And btw, is Dana really the only guy on the planet who could have secured a Netflix deal...? Because that seems to be the alleged justification for his sudden involvement. I kinda think Turki or even Frank or Eddie could have swung that...)

And meantime the only guy whose word at this point I'll believe (since everyone's looking to him to make this and most every other big fight happen) is the only one not talking....

So right now we're dealing with a lot of pointless, dubiously credible gum-flapping ... led by those famous gum-flappers Eddie, Dana and Fury.
