Canelo lost to GGG x 2. Money, Bivol and Crawford schooled him. I didn't see the Lara bout.

    I loathe Canelo.

Of all of his losses, Crawford was easily the least dominant although he did lose clearly.

GGG 2 is very debatable (I felt Canelo won and it was probably his career best win and form)

Lara was close, not a robbery but close, similar to his bout with Trout iirc.

Canelo normally thrives on come forward guys like Mbilli but it'll be interesting to see how much Canelo has left at this stage of his career. I think Canelo has slowed down enough for Mbilli to pose a lot of problems. Hoping to see an entertaining fight.

Agreed, Mbili brings alot of energy and pressure but he's way too easy to hit.

Clenbuterol should lose this; he looked completely devoid of ideas against Crawford, too much wear and tear now. Should be a good fight though.

Mbilli is getting slept, Canelo's KO drought will be broken. Canelo feasts on guys like him. But unlike Munguia and Berlanga, he's incapable of doing anything but non stop forward aggression.

Mbilli’s style is perfect for Canelo. His counter-punching ability is ideal for a pressure fighter like Mbilli, who comes straight forward and stops to trade blows. The problem is that Canelo has been much slower with his punches for quite some time now, and his reflexes aren't what they used to be. Joe Smith also had a style that was perfect for Hopkins, but we know how that turned out. I’m picking Mbilli by clear decision.

Canelo seems to have lost a LOT of his star power by now though - am I wrong?

Ordinarily I'd agree with this 100% but Canelo is living the semi retired fighters life and he's at that age when an upset isn't unusual. Mbilli is a very strong fighter and if Canelo's ship is leaking he could get beaten, of course the odds of him winning a decision are, L--O--N--G. While an upset would be unexpected I wouldn't call it a big surprise at this point and frankly I'd like to it.
