Pavlik's incredible stamina which enables him to throw high volume punches will be something Hopkins will not be able to handle. By the late stages of the Calzaghe fight, Hopkins was worn out, acting like a *****, faking fouls, and going to the wrong corner. Pavlik hits harder than Joe and has a good chance of stopping Bernard.

If Hopkins wants to avoid being KO'd he better crank up his roadwork!

    He won't be KO'd.

But Pavlik will likely get a decision based purely on work-rate (one which I think will prove ultimately undeserving).

For whatever reason Hopkins wasn't at all active in the Calzaghe fight, but he did alot of work against Wright.

Same thing against Taylor twice then he fights Tarver at a new weight and is very active in every round, can't understand Hopkins lately.

Hopkins beats Pavlik by UD. :thumbsup

I am not so sure that Hopkins won't get stopped. Calzaghe had him quitting. What do you call all the time outs Hopkins needed and got by faking the fouls? He could not handle the pace. Against Pavlik, Hopkins will have to deal with a similar pace and will be getting hit harder. He may ***** out and quit!

How the hell his workrate and stamina will be the difference when we don't know how they are at 170.If you think they are the same at 170 you gotta be crazy

Tarver was weight drained and Hopkins dictated the pace, and Wright is a junior middle.

The reason Hopkins had a low work rate against Calzaghe is he could not deal with the pace. His stamina is gone. Pavlik will not let Hopkins rest and Hopkins can't throw at the same rate as Pavlik. Hopkins is going to get embrassed, either by quitting or getting KO'd.

Don't really know when exactly but he fought more than once at 170.

166 against Taylor. Close enough. He looked strong and threw hard at that weight. 4 pounds will not make a difference.

I agree, I could easily see Hopkins making a complete 180 and surprising alot of people.

    He's done it multiple times.
