If Garcia steps into the ring motivated and in good physical and mental shape, I think Benn has little chance of winning, Ryan is the better fighter of the two. It’s a different story, however, if Garcia shows up looking the way he did against Romero. I wouldn't underestimate the toll of Benn's weight cut, either, while it’s true that boxers at this level are looked after by top doctors and nutritionists, we’ve seen fighters turn into zombies in the ring. And we don’t have to look far back to recall examples, we need only think of a boxer Benn knows very well: Eubank Jr.
This is a Mayweather-vs.-Pacquiao-level matchup for the most unlikable fighters in the sport. Probably two of the top 5 most detestable gobshites in the sport P4P going at it for a legit world title. I think Garcia wins easily because Benn looks horribly drained, and he's just not very good at all, especially defensively. But then again, neither is Garcia. I can see Garcia catching him early, though. RyGa also got comprehensively outboxed by a guy with absolutely no fundamentals at world level, though, so who knows how it goes. If I had to guess, I'd say Garcia within the first 3, left hook, similar to the one he caught Haney with in round 1.
Benn swarms over Ryan and Ryan quits mentally when he sees Benn has the chin to take his best shots. Game over for Ryan another L for him.
If Benn fights how he did in the Eubank rematch, I see him winning. Using that jab up and down on the front foot, taking the head off the centre line, will catch Garcia square on with his chin high, and not just with the jab too. The level changes that Benn does will certainly allow him to set up the punches needed against the style of Garcia, who is eager to counterpunch and time opponents while also keeping his chin high. Benn will level change with the jab up and down, which will allow him to time punches down the middle as Garcia looks to time him while standing straight up with his chin high. Benn wins this IMO, which is an unpopular opinion, but this is genuinely how I see it stylistically, and I also don’t particularly care who wins.
Benn rushes Garcia, Benn is relentless, it's not pretty or very technically brilliant, but it overwhelms Garcia and Benn gets the stoppage. But we will see!
Benn is just like his dad, tough dude with mediocre at best skill. I don’t like Garcia either but hope he puts Benn back in his box to be honest, can’t stand him
