I'm a pretty consistent critic of Wilders reign, and I wouldn't have said so.

Sure, Wilder fought plenty of journeymen and mediocre gatekeepers and, for my money, never beat an actual contender...

But everyone he fought was a proper international level fighter.

Hysa isn't... He's a domestic level circus attraction who's never stepped up, has zero track record behind him worth talking about.

This is a dumpsterfire of a choice for Kabayel - the era is thin enough on talent that this really, really shouldn't be necessary even if Kabayel's too scared to fight the top guys (who are either declined or still not all that).

All of Wilder's title opponents were better than Hysa, with the only possible exception being Stiverne 2. Hysa is now 42 and didn't stop 40 year old Pavel Sour, or 49 year old Danny Williams. And his record is heavily fabricated:

Molina was 10 times better than Hysa
