Literally knocked him out tho. And at least Jermell took those fights and made it happen - Jermall did not.

Charlo also won a medal at the junior Oympics as well, so he has really solid amateur fundamentals, too. I think Castano is probably better than Murtazaliev, especially considering how he lost to Josh Kelly in his very next fight. Castano had a great fight with Lara, who is still more or less at the top of 160.

Not sure I'd say overrated. When he was active, he was a trough fight for anyone in his division. I'd say more underachieved then overrated.

Disclaimer: I was one of the only Charlo fans on here until they both fell apart.

Most people don't rate him at all, how can he be overrated? Someone who most people don't like and root against, it's a hard sell to call someone like that overrated. He's underrated if anything, you will be hard pressed to find another 4 belt undisputed champion that has gotten the disrespect he has.

Finally saw his fight against Canelo…

jeeesus, what a stinker of a fight.

He was literally hugging and running the entire time.

if he has a 35-2 record…who or what the other fights against.

Charlo wouldve beat the brakes off of timmy man stop!
He was a good boxer but started to get money and his hunger for the sport declined.

No he didn't he fought the much better fighter in canelo for a career high payday. Timmy wouldve done the same thing if offered the canelo fight dont be a hypocrite.

Yeah, Tim’s best case argument here is that 154 was weak when Charlo reigned, but Tim’s only decent wins are against older leftover versions from that period…so it doesn’t really work.

Really, Charlo looked way better, and likely was way better.

Also, its weird talking about Tim’s prime when he accomplished little and lost as soon as he fought a good fighter who wasn’t at the end of their career..

Honestly, Tim is the biggest “hype job” in years in my mind…

Losing hunger wasn't the issue. He ran scared. He could have fought Tim 7 months after losing to Canelo. Who he was expected To lose to. He had an excuse. Charlo was stuttering his words after Tim dismantled Harrison. Charlo even talked about " if I lose to Tim " those words shouldn't be coming out of a fighters mouth. Not against your next potential opponent anyway. He said that when getting interviewed by an ex NBA player on fighting Towns or whatever. The version of Tim pre cut Fundora 1 was a formidable opponent. Going 12 rounds with one eye and losing a split decision was a great feat. He would have destroyed him if not for the cut.

The Tim that fought from 2023 to April 2024 healthy knocks Charlo out. Plain and simple.

He would. But he also would have fought Charlo 3-4 months after it.

Charlo scared. That boy is scared.

So I guess when timmy had to pull out for an injury he was faking then. I guess he was scared of charlo. Timmy is made to order for charlo I mean you couldn't find a more tailor made guy for him. Slow wide open guy who comes forward with a shaky chin. Charlo would land on that boy like rain on a tin roof and khtfo! Easy work. Timmy was one of the most overrated and hyped guys here and hasn't lived up to it lmfao!

He was literally embodiment of gate keeper. Held on to the belts. Why did he look so bad against Canelo.

I respect him for being a champion lol
The good news is I paid money to see the good twin.

maybe Crawford has enough in the tank to fight Jermall…

sounds like Crawford is content with Fighting Gervonta and King Ry..

no offense, your Texas fighters are trash. The best one is Vergil.

That 160-168 Division is weak AF right now.

I’d pay money to see Crawford vs Jermell.

If Tim wants to fight Jermell, the “felon” excuse is so bad to not travel to Australia. lol

it would have to be an undercard not main event. Texas would probably hold it.
