Witherspoon by unanimous decision but Joe makes it awkward for him.

Caveat here is which Joe turns up if it's Frazier Joe he wins.

Tim had a tendency to sleep-walk at times. He could be lulled to sleep and end up in the kind of decision that could go the other way (see Tony Tubbs or Bigfoot Martin).

Joey Bugs would be the right man for the job.

    Bugner MD.

This is a tough one, both former Ali sparring mates and both good guys, but there's a special place in my heart for the Hungarian Oak.

Last thing it would be is a banger, but I fancy Bugner at his best to eke out a points decision here. Underrated was big Joe

At the time they realistically would have fought Witherspoon would win. More generally this is a good matchup that could go either way.

Agreed. Tim will willingly oblige to a slow pace. And can you imagine each corner trying to motivate their guy between rounds?

You know who wins? Advertisers. what would the over/under be on a 10 rounder? 9.5?

Frazier Joe was very impressive, wasn’t he?

Though Bugner Joe did spare Frazier Joe from what might’ve been a definitive KO.

Frazier Joe was so appreciative of the mercy afforded to him, he almost put out Bugner Joe shortly afterward.

Damn, I’ve already forgotten who we’re pitting Frazier Joe against….is it Holmes Timmy per chance?

Witherspoon bets him ...he walks through his punches and bets him up better than an old Lyle did ..

    Hi guys.
I am with Philosopher, this is most certainly not a banger, both fighters can offer up two versions of the same person, strategic point is, Bugner didn't bring the aggressive, weight punching boxer to the fore that often, in fact only in two rare fights, Frazier and Dunn, so with that it mind, I will opt for the spoon, on a clear points decision, should big Joe climb in a phone booth, swish round and emerge as titan Joe, then he should outwork Tim over 12 or 15, he was a true long distance fighter.
    stay safe guys.
    Mike.
