Ryan is the more talented fighter physically but Meldrick was defined more textbook. How do you see this fight going?

Idk about that. Ryan has the better jab, hook, athleticism and defense. I don't see Ryan struggling with that version of Chavez

Ryan has a poor defense but too much reach and power for a prime Taylor.

    Chavez was awesome at 140.

Taylor struggled with reach and power, Garcia has similar handspeed to Terry Norris and similar power power to Espana, Taylor couldn't deal with fighters with Garcia's size and power, Garcia is better than Aaron Davis or Glenwood Brown, Taylor was never that good at welter, he was sharper at 140 and may have beaten Garcia at that weight but he was far too reckless and would probably get caught.

Meldrick was too small is my point, Garcia's height, reach and power would be too much, he's the naturally bigger man, at 140 it would be closer as Taylor was sharper at that weight than at 147.

But Taylor did beat better fighters than Ryan, correct?

No, Garcia's handspeed is far quicker than Glenwood Brown's or that of Aaron Davis and he's a better finisher, Taylor was not the same fighter at welter, he lacked power and got bullied by Espana.

People only remember Taylor because his losses, after Chavez had softened him. In his prime, Taylor was a beast. He would land on Garcia and go to war. Can Garcia survive a blood and guts war ? Not so sure.

No way could Taylor take Garcia's power in a war going toe to toe.

Didn't 10x the power though and got hit far too much.
