Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is now possible for November 28th in Cardiff

Sure but the fight doesn’t work here from a ticket sales or atmosphere POV.

 

I'd watch it...not the fight it could've been a few years ago but oh well. Now is now...still worth a watch. Wouldn't be surprised to see either of them chinned to be honest, I guess that makes it interesting in itself. Money is on Fury though, he still has some spirit about him, AJ looks pretty much cooked.

 

Netflix doesn't care about tickets, and the Brits are excellent travelers: looks at Joshua vs Ruiz, the crowd was electric.
Netflix want the most eyes on the live event, and that would be if the fight is in the US, or on US time.

 

Not so sure. Joshua's chin is gone but Fury is feather fisted for a heavyweight.
Also Joshua still has power and Fury is a lot more hittable these days, he's nowhere near as slick as he used to be.
I expect a messy fight where Fury climbs off the canvas to win on points or something like that but AJ definitely has a legit shot.
Honestly this fight is really unpredictable because both are so far past their prime, anything could happen (presuming they actually fight of course).

Fury and AJ probably have more Fury v AJ announcements than wins at this point. For christs sake this is the 2nd one this week.

 

The undefeated Joshua of 2018 is not the old man Joshua of 2026. There were a lot of stories about tickets tanking for Joshua/Paul, and as loathsome as he is Paul is much better known in the US than Fury. Thankfully we won't have find out, apparently.

 

They seem to be heavily overrated based on beating an old Wlad. Nobody else from this era except maybe Pulev if you consider him part of this era had the chance to fight a faded Wlad on the verge of retirement.

 

His resume is pretty thin given the hype

Because they are irrelevant at this point.

 

Fury has 12 wins above Kevin Johnson level. Dubois has 6, and Dubois beat a faded Kevin.

Then we include losses: both men have two to Usyk, with Dubois winning far fewer rounds and quitting both times. Dubois also has a quitjob loss to Joyce. And Dubois has been down more than Fury in his much shorter career: 10 times to Fury's 8. Dubois will be adding more losses in time.

 

And what happened to Pulev. It was arguably Wlad's best career performance. He was far more formidable at 38 than he was in his 20's.

 

Is this still not finalized yet? For the fight to happen Nov. 28, with 8 week training camps, that means both would have to begin at the start of October.

 

Think they've now delayed to December and backed off in camp

 

If we count guys who were top 10 it's pretty even. Dubois can add more quality wins while that's unlikely for Fury.

Why would unranked guys like Kevin Johnson be of any concern in terms of resume? You are free to draw the line wherever you like in terms of what wins are notable or not but a lot of these guys were far outside the top 10, some outside the top 30.
