I can't favor Benitez because Mayweather was undefeated. BUT if you list 140/147/154's by their chances against Mayweather Benitez is right there. Him and Trinidad are as close to 50/50 as you will get. I mean real 140/147/154's not much larger men who cut like Fundora or Hearns.
Break out the smelling salts and Red Bull because this one would be a snoozer. Not a chance Mayweather hurts Benitez, so this becomes a tactical counter-punch contest where Floyd has a slight edge in speed and Benitez the edge in offense and durability. The difference here is that Benitez was proven against prime ATGs, while Floyd never fought an ATG at their best. I like Benitez, I can't see Floyd making his way inside which is where he would need to be in order to win a decision.
Floyd's better 50 - 0 victories over 16 world champs vs 36- 3 -1 3 world champs, one robbery and two blowout losses. I forgot the knockout loss to Quincy Taylor. Inreality, Altogether, Leonard has six losses in 40 fights https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/s...-thank-sparring-partner-hagler-win/100094938/
I would favor Floyd slightly over Benitez....................very slightly. What I will also say is that there would not be a lot of clean punches landed on either side
