Steve Collins V s Carl Froch?

Froch, I think is tougher & hangs better in the battle here,
I was never a Collins fan, but I won't let that sway my choice, who knows, but I think Froch would be the betting favourite.

 

I'd put a cheeky bet on Collins. He's still underappreciated.

 

I would lean slightly towards Collins. He was underrated and Roy Jones ducked him for years. Collins wanted that fight badly. Froch was a good but not great champion. He was losing the Taylor fight when he pulled off the stoppage in the last few seconds of the fight. Some feel her got a gift versus Dirrell. He didn't have any answer for Ward, who was another very good but not great fighter.

 

I love contemplated this one for years now. I think this could be an excellent fight but if forced to choose I would make Froch the favorite. Collins was a hell of a good fighter though.

 

I can't see Collins outboxing the taller, rangier Froch, at long range.

I can't see former 160lber Collins outmuscling the physically very sturdy Froch and forcing him back on the inside.

I can't see Collins moderate power leading to a stoppage of the iron chinned Froch.

Collins had a great work rate, but Froch was so fit I can't see him being outworked, even by Steve.

Froch UD in a competitive fight, imo.
