Would Baer be able to outlast Itauma like Hrgovic did?

I dunno. Maybe. But the punches Hrgovic did take were insane. That was no rope a dope. Certainly not the most ideal way to win a fight.

 

Probably not. Baer was tough as nails but he had horrible defense and would be the physically inferior man as well.

 

Baer would be chasing his head back to the dressingroom.

 

Itauma didn't get "gasses", he got hit in the ribs. After that, Itauma had a painful look even when throwing punches, and Hrgovic went for that spot.

I don't think Baer could handle such a fast southpaw, since he couldn't handle Braddock.

 

Only Joe Louis stopped Max in his prime. Itauma huffing as early as the third round, he’s not knocking out Baer before he’s gassed.

 

Hrgovic Was essentially blocking punches with his face, and Baer was a harder puncher shot for shot.

 

Potentially, but I don't see him doing anything so nuanced.

Perhaps the older Baer with the cross arm defense might do it.
