    Ladies, ladies...please.
I never told people to buy the p-p-v. That little piece of confusion appears to now be established as fact.
There are so many crazy posts that I'm not sure where to start.
I will round 'em all up because I still think that most of you are missing the point and have very little understanding of the way the business works. If the Khan fight was so bad and if the internet was so powerful then there would be 20,000 signatures on that boycott doing the rounds and not a few hundred.
How can I say to the boss at Setanta/Independent that 426 people think the Khan p-p-v is a disgrace and that I think it is my duty to expose the story? He would look at me and say: "426 men on the internet and for that we **** off Frank Warren and Amir Khan for life...yep, that sounds great."
McGuigan has a big old picture column and the power that comes with being the people's champion and a salary from the Mirror in excess of 100,000 per year - let him go into the trenches for 426 diehard fans. Alos, why not write to the sports editor of your paper and ask why his boxing writer is not giving the p-p-v a hard time. Not one Sunday paper questioned the status of the night as a p-p-v. Me, I've been banned and sued by Warren, Duff and Hearn so please let me tell you that nobody on here has the right to question my motives - and I've lost!
Do you not understand that? And just to add again ... I never said: "Buy the p-p-v it is great value." I said something about the fights being good and I stand by that - it will be a great night and it's not even on Setanta.
    Adios.

Let me just add that if one newspaper received 20 letters from disgruntled readers v-a-v the p-p-v there would be a real uproar - papers panic when more than 2 letters come in! It's something to think about. At The Daily Telegraph 10-15 years ago the simplest way for me to do a feature was for six people to write in about a boxer - it worked for Ross Hale, Ensley Bingham, Paul Weir, Crawford Ashley, Shea Neary, Andy Till - and the desk would panic and bingo I would be off to do the interview.
    Adios.

So Buncey any scoop Setanta's upcoming fights? Something about them working hard to get Klitschko v Peter / Dawson v Tarver card in October.

Makes up for not getting to see Diaz v Katsidis and probably Casa v JMM. Do Setanta and GBP not do business?

Writing to newspapers is all well and good but the problem is that most papers don't have proper full-time boxing writers anymore. What they have is football writers who know nothing about boxing but write a little bit about it (and it really is little), ala Pat Sheehan and Tom Hopkinson. A letter would probably just get ignored in favour of the 30 letters they have received about small football issues.

Not that I'm suggesting that you should take up the people's cause Steve. I write about boxing myself and I have no interest in fighting Mr Warren. It's not worth the hassle.

If people really want to fight PPV. They have to make a stand by not buying the thing. When the viewing figures are poor, Sky will waive bye bye to more Khan PPVs.

Anyway keep up the good work on Setanta.

Maybe Bunce could do a story on an irish title contender called jeff thomas and we could all wait in anticipation as to see how another irish dud falls flat on his ass in embarassment.

All papers have a designated boxing writer - he has that role and I'm telling you that letters are NEVER ignored.
Get writing because you are running out of time.
    Trust me.
    Adios.
