I think the first Pac fight is the only fight he really lost.

He's been in some other close ones though.

I had him beating John and Barrera by a couple points respectively and had his fight with Norwood and the rematch with Pac scored even.

It's not me who's missing the point . . . did I mention anything about JMM staying on his feet?

That sarcasm are for the posters who's gonna argue about JMM being higher in the p4p ratings because according to your thread he seems to have won all his fights . . . I'm just beating them into it. :deal

Nobody here is saying Juan Manuel Marquez was robbed in his fights with Manny Pacquiao. The problem with users like Psychopath and Blanco is that they are so narrow minded, they miss the point.

Now without reiterating points I've already made, how do you feel Juan Manuel Marquez will be viewed in 10-20 years time?

I would use someone who's opinion is more credible than Max Kellerman.

He is the same guy that said Glass Jaw Roy Jones would beat Joe Frazier.:patsch:rofl

I was reffering to Benny Blanco.

This is what I meant when I said you were narrow minded.

I am of the opinion that Marquez won his fights with Pacquiao, but I was inviting valid opinions from other members. Time and time again, members will come in here and make sarcastic comments or totally dismiss objectiveness because of personal bias. I want opinions from neutrals, and like I've already asked...

How do you think history will judge Juan Manuel Marquez?

10-20 years from now I think he will not be rated highly as Barrera and Morales. Put if he can beat Casa, then beat Pac. Then it might be different. I just wish he could have got a chance against Hamed and Morales. But Hamed people didn't want the fight to happen. I not sure on this but Morales and Marquez were both Top Rank fighters. Morales was Arum money man and draw. Was he afraid to put Morales in their against Marquez? i REALLY WISHED THAT FIGHT HAD HAPPENED. A fight like those two would had helped his legacy bigtime

I doubt Erik Morales personally ducked Marquez, but his management may well have.

Unfortunately, if Marquez does not go on to beat Casamayor and get a decision against Manny Pacquiao in a third fight, he'll be most likely disregarded. Fans will look on Boxrec and see that he lost everytime he stepped up in class and even lost the odd fight to fighters like Norwood, when in reality, he could have fairly easily been on the other side of all of his losses. That's the point. Nobody is saying Marquez was robbed but he could have been given the decision in his losses to Norwood, Pacquiao 1+2, and John and nobody would have been screaming robbery. It's an unlucky break.

Marquez is one of the most technically skilled fighter in the modern era of the sports . . . no matter how controversial . . . he drew 1 and lost 1 close fights against Pacquaio . . . so if he wins against Casa . . . he'll be asured of being high in recognition in history for being a 3 divisional champ himself.

Assuming he would have won them fights it would have helped his legacy, which is a pretty big assumption. I wouldn't be surprised if both beat him.

I also believe that jmm has not been beaten yet. on the other hand i also believe there are some fights where he did not beat his opponent. i think jmm made it to the top of the heap in the 130 division but was forced to share it with pac because neither one could knock the other off. the judges scoring and the opinions of biased fans does not change what i saw and how i think a fighter establishes superiority over an opponent.

How am I narrow minded?....If I came off blunt in my first post it's because I see where a thread like this is going, it's going to end up with a bunch JMM fans claiming robbery in both fights, and if/when JMM fans enter this thread and do claim robbery on both fights I highly doubt that you would call them narrow minded for saying that.

exactly to bad they never happened. But I won't count Marquez out against anyone at 120-130 in the era he fought in. Maybe a fight with Kelly could have also helped and a junior jones. But Morales was a bad boy and Hamed hit way to hard and the way Marquez all ways gets kd, I don't think he could take an Hamed punch. I think he hits harder than Pac.

You jumped to conclusions, instead of giving your objective input. I'm asking for relevant input. Do you think Manny won the fights? How do you feel history will judge Juan Manuel Marquez? Forgot about that rubbish about Marquez being robbed. It's all in your head.
