    Perhaps you missed the 2nd part of the first sentence. Nevetheless I'll say it again. "when Pea was in the pocket he outlanded Chavez".

    Does Oscar even care what Pernell has to say about him?.....Oscar got money stacks bigger than the Klitschko brothers and a beautiful wife plus houses in California,Mexico,Puerto Rico. And runs the 2nd largest promotional company. Pernell sounds bitter IMO. He always seems to discredit Oscar at any given moment, It's sad that he can't give a future HOF his full credit.

    Thats what made Pea special the boy could dodge punches in the pocket. Also Pimp C I guess me, you, judge, and Reg were right and its a damn shame. Pea vs Duran is a dream match of mine, but i WOULD FAVOR Duran

    Wrong fighter Hop, Tarver, and Toney are Jelous of Jones. Floyd felt like Arum held him back, but I don't think he was jelous of Hoya. If that's the case why would Hoya get his daddy to train him :think

    He only clowned when Oscar tried to engage a few times, rather than counter engage he clowned while backing away. Sure, he made Oscar miss, but not through the whole fight. I've watched that fight a hundred times and Whitaker fought very very tentatively. I don't even remember one good punch landed by Whitaker in the entire fight. If Oscar wasn't a good puncher why the hell didn't Whitaker shut him out, and shut him out early? The Oscar of that time surely was not in a position to outbox Whitaker.

    As to the knockdown. Go back and watch it. It was a missed punch and Oscar was grazed by the side of Whitaker's arm while changing stances, this off balanceness caused him to fall. Yes, a technical knock down but don't come off trying to make it seem as if Whitaker hurt him. :hi:

    Edit;

    Let's remember, Whitaker was rated #1 P4P in boxing at the time.

    good luck!

    some people dont understand the importance of size and weight.

    oscar will be remembered as a HOF fighter but,like it or not, floyd s a great.

    thats just the way it is - and the way it should be.

    I do agree with you on this. He was moving backwards while punishing Chavez. Against Hoya though he was moving backwards and like I said, not doing much else.
