My favorite divisions at this point are:

    Welterweight
    Jr. Welter
    Lightweight
    Jr. Lightweight
    Jr. Featherweights

What I like about these divisions is that we really don't know what can happen from here to a year from now... A guy can be at the top and then gets smashed by another good one (ie Margo vs Cotto)

What are your picks of favorite divisions?

SMW, if you still count Calzaghe as champ. With Kessler, Bute, Taylor, Lacy, Froch, Dirrel, Miranda, Andrade, it's full of exciting fighters. Now, if they'd only start fighting each other.

I know... that's what gets me... We should learn from Don King when he did the MW tournament. Some of this divisions should do a tournament so they can start fighting each other and finally we can all have one person that we can all call THE MAN!!

HW is heating up if Haye can dominate a heavy or two before fighting Wlad
    CW is dead
LHW is an old division. Good names but past their best, apart from Dawson, and Diaconu who is coming up.
168 is great! Kessler, Bute, Taylor, Miranda, Inkin, Froch, Pascal, Ward, Direll, Andrade, Bika, Stevenson, and even Pavlik and Abraham are players in this division. Hell even Calzaghe, Hopkins and RJJ can move down to 168.
160 is dead apart from Pavlk and Abraham.
154 is slow, Santos, Alcine, Dzinziruk cannot seem to get their names out
    147 is awesome
    140 sucks ass
135 is the best division in boxing
130 is DEAD. If Linares moves up that might help a little. Valero vs Linares would probably be HUGE in Japan
126 is a great division right now. John, Guerrero, Linares, Gamboa, Luevano...
122 is a great division. Molitor, JuanMa, Vasquez, Rafa Marquez, Caballero, PDL
    118 sucks
112-115 is awesome. Mijares, Montiel, Donaire...
108 is decent with Calderon and Solis
    105 i don't know anyone

Yeah, I'm with you 100%. It's like when Floyd was champ at WW, only he never seemed to actually fight any WWs. Now, Kessler has fought Calzaghe, Mundine and Andrade, but really none of the other big players have faced any of the other ranked fighters. Fortunately, Taylor v Lacy, if I'm not mistaken, is a done deal.

Lol. That was a brilliant run down of the divisions; kind of like the Readers Digest guide to Pro Boxing. Nice.

    Hot divisions: 135, 147, 200

    Crap divisions: 140, 154, 168

Sorry folks, Calzaghe is a LHW now, and 168 is otherwise empty.

even without Calzaghe, SMW is one of the best divisions

200? pls explain. Adamek is in the twighlight of his career and Cunningham is the #1 fighter in the division but most people would not even have him in their top20

CW? You have to be joking. It's like a 2nd tier baseball team that has sold its best player to the Yankees. And the rising star, Adamek, is a blown-up LHW who's only survived because Bell is one of the most dysfunctional fighters in boxing.

    168 is empty right now.

Kessler still doesn't have a name, and won't anytime soon with that promoter of his. Bute is still green.

Nobody else you named is worth mentioning. Palik + Abraham are not SMW's.

At 200 you've got Haye (on his way out), Cunningham, Macca, Flores, Adamek, Arslan, Mormeck, Banks, Kraj, and Alexeev (future P4Per) to name a few. A solid division with fireworks from top to bottom.
