Who does Hatton need to beat in order to be P4P #1?

It would hard to argue against him being #1 if he managed to win them 3 but no way in hell is that happening.

Judging my his last performance it wouldn't surprise me that much if Paulie beat him but it will be interesting to see how he performs with a totally new training camp and Mayweather Sr in his corner.

 

He beats Paulie easily, and would probably be too much for Pac IMO - but those two wins won't be enough, he would need to beat a naturally bigger guy to hit the peak.

 

i dont think rickys gonna win again, i think after the paulie fight he will retire with 2x losses

Anyhow unifying most if not all the belts at 140 would be a noteworthy accomplishment.....Tszyu is the only person to do this........however something of this sort requires dedication, hard work and actual boxing ability non of which Hatton has:deal

Some things just are the way they are. Hatton is NOT the P4P best and never will be. He is too limited. Malignaggi would be a good win, but when has he ever even been close to a P4P fighter? Pac is smaller and Hatton holds stylistic advantages over him, and I still question whether Hatton can beat him.

 

In parts he did yes, but in others I felt he was pretty good to be honest.

Lazcano did well to get his elbows down at the last second a few times it must be said.

I was impressed with his stamina, which had been questionable for a while, though his defence and head/body movement was worse than awful.

There wasn't any!

 

It would be almost impossible for Hatton to become p4p no.1 as not only would he have to string three very very impressive wins together but he would also have to hope that none of the 10 to 15 fighters ahead of him at the moment have any similar big wins. Think he should give up on the idea of being p4p no. 1 and concentrate on cleaning up in the 140 division. Retiring as the undisputed champion at 140 with just one loss to the then p4p no. 1 would be a huge achievement and one that is within his reach.

Bradley looked very good against Witter, but I still feel Witter could do him if a rematch took place. Must say that Bradley deserved a UD rather than SD :deal

Bradley was allowed to dictate because Witter spent too much time posturing, I think Hatton would take Bradley out of his comfort zone and take him out eventually.
