And sadly, many other boxers would agree with him. Foreman was by far the exception, and he still had to take a few beatings before he got his hands back on the HW title.

I'd much rather Vitali had a tune-up, even if it was against a really lousy opponent. Important thing would be to shake off some rust.

250ish; however, this probably won't matter. If VK is in shape, even a peak condition Peter will not be able to hang with him staminawise. Peter's best bet is to make it a rough fight and test VK's frail body & inactivity. Although Peter's power is way overrated, he does have the physical strength to rough VK up in the clinch. Coming in light really won't help him here; if he tries to box with VK, he's going to get his ass kicked. In fact, if he does intend to rough VK up by leaning on him, showing up a little heavy would only help him.

he can't lean on vitali because vitalis body is 8 inches above him. you can't lean uphill.
his best chance is going to the knee...

If he tries going Karate on Vitali, he's going to quickly find out why Vitali was kickboxing world champion. That would be hilarious actually. A Vitali roundhouse kick to Sam Peters head would put Sam down the way he put down Jeremy Williams.

Yes well if Foreman can come back after 10 years and 40 pounds heavier and compete well, then Vitali has a shot after 4 years (and likely no more than 5 pounds off his last fight).

Of course a tune up might be advised, but I think Vitali sees enough vulnerability in Peter to go straight for him confident of winning. Or it could be that he doesn't want to take any more time training and going thru a tune-up, when the chance of injury again is lurking or just plain aging is working against him.

Time will tell..... hopefully not more time then by Oct 11!

Vitali = overrated, his best win is over Journymen Corrie Sanders, no wonder why his KO % is so high, could you imagine what Foremans would be if he fought the lame competition Vitali has? It would be at nearly 100%.

He's not under 260 at the time being, a true meat ball! Still, Vitali is to experience the sort of power Peter has been building for him... I predict a one punch kayo for Peter.

Chris Byrd was 1000 times better than Scam Cheater and would have totally schooled him and made him look ****ing stupid in the process.

Or knocked him out with one punch, that fight could go either way IMO. Bryd has always been known to complain about anything from low blows to hitting behind the head, with Peter's questionable tactics it would be interesting to see. 02 Bryd vs Peter is a 50/50 type fight in my book, you do remember Golota giving him hell back in 03-04, Peter would give him just as much trouble, if not more.
