The perfect fight for Haye is Cedric Boswell if he wants to be considered an hw prospect he needs to fight a good solid hw that has stamina and can punch. Haye will be tested and ko'd but hey at least he knows that he will have to go back to the land of uncertainty ( Cruiser heavyweight)

I have seen Haye rocked by Cruiserheavies and he may not make it in the HW division even if he fights Rachman or Toney they have enough pop to stop him for the night , it takes year to devolop into a heavyweight Holyfield came up slow and still had to fight guys that where 15-25 lbs heavier than him.

And he fought the right people Holyfield vs Dokes is a classic Haye needs to be brought along slowly a win over a suspect hw and then getting ko'd by Wlad will damage his self esteem and ruin him as an fighter.

A proper test for Haye at heavyweight would be anyone that can go the distance with him, like: Purrity, Hawkins, Timor Ibragimov, Hoffman, or someone like that. I would even like to see Haye-Ruiz. Unfortunately, neither Haye nor his management have any interest in a real challenge; and will most likely pick an opponent Haye can KO in impressive fashion. So, stay close to your phone Hasim.

I have been a Cedric Boswell backer since he and I was on the all Navy boxing team LONG TIME AGO and I was 6 year younger than him then and man kid could thump and he always was in shape, I think he was always looked over hasn't got his just do, one loss against McCline when he wasn't in shape and they haven't looked at him seriously Cedric can bang and I was on the end of that jab and right hand for a year.

He's the last from the old team still boxing so I a, rooting for my man Cedric Boswell

that is true these are good fighters but haye will rise quicker with fights from toney and rahman, his one goal is to get his shot at wlad as quick as possible

Boswell would be a decent gauge for Haye but he doesn't carry enough name recognition.A few wins over fringe contenders with different skillsets would tell us where Haye is at as a heavyweight. But I'm sure he will be fast tracked throuh the division and Rahman will probably get the call because he's a big name and a big ko waiting to happen.

Root for your man all you like, I'm not knocking you. But the fact remains Haye has blown away a better fighter and so fighting Boswell would mean nothing to him.

Take a step back from your personal feelings on the matter and look at what a win over Boswell would look like for Haye? Haye is ranked top five in the world, Boswell probably not top 10 in the USA. If Haye lost his career would be in tatters, a win and he wouldn't be ranked or thought of any higher, he would just be slammed for taking an easy fight with a past his best guy who was never world class to begin with.

Do you really know nothing about Haye?

He came up the hard way and has always looked for the challenge. Always. He started taking on ex world champs in his 10th fight, fought for the IBO title in his 11th. He didnt look for the easy way to a world belt, he challenged the man in his back yard. When that was arranged he took a warm up he didnt need to fight at heavyweight and risked it all. After that he took a unification fight that many thought could go either way.

Many fighters these days are risk adverse and protected. Haye isn't one of them.

Neither Purrity (he must be 67) nor Hawkins nor Hoffmann (the Dimitrenko fight proved that his chin is not the same it was 5 years ago) would last the distance with Haye.

I want any of the following boxers: Thompson, Chambers, Sultan Ibragimov. If he happens to beat any of those guys I'd be impressed.

Haye is not looking for a good test.

He is clearly out to beat a big name to earn him a big fight with a titleholder, or better yet, Wladimir.

I doubt he cares what kind of test an unknown would provide him, cause he is after what the win will provide him......... He's out to make big money by fighting big names, plain and simple.

Haye's gonna get starched as soon as he faces a decent HW puncher of any sort, so he might as well pad his record with light-hitting HWs and then go get knocked out by Klitschko

Holyfield and Haye are completely different animals..

    No comparrison.......

Every heavyweight was a danger when he made that transition to the higher weight.

Tillis, Pinklon, Stewart, Dokes, Mcdonagh, rodriguez, quawi...

There were no Thomasz Bonins there......

Haye is coming from a much weaker cruiserweight division also..

(Deleon, Parkey, Ocasio, Braxton/Quawi, Tillman.. Very good division..)

ever see the debut he boxed.. Lionel Byarm wasn't a clown..

from day 1 Evander was proving his worth.. because he felt he let people down in the 84 games......

Haye is looking to handpick someone he can KO he has all but said that in his interviews. Rahman who has a Glass Jaw is perfect for that and that is probably who we will see.

He needs to quit talking and fight because he is only going to look stupid when his Glass Jaw is shattered at Heavyweight.
