I kind of liked the outcome of this fight because it showed how crappy most of the striking is in mma. The fact that a guy with this sloppy of a style could dominate a sport is pretty embarrassing in my opinion.

Pretty bad the way he lost, Evans didn't throw a single punch and then KPOW! I call it a lucky punch, that's all!

GTFO here with that nonsense. Either you're being totally disingenuous or you're a poser who didn't watch the ****ing fight. Evans didn't land much of anything in the first round, but in the second he had Liddell's timing down and got the better of most of their exchanges. Chuck had him cornered in the cage about a minute in and attempted to swarm him with punches, but Rashad backed him off by landing a straight right and then a left hook. He then landed that combo about 2 or three more times before the knockout.

I've never liked Rashad, but to deny that he came in and executed a solid gameplan which took advantage of Chuck's sloppy striking is ridiculous. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Mate, I watched the fight and Evan's stopped Liddell with a lucky punch. I don't buy Evans as a Marquee fighter, lucky punches happen in MMA.

Your claim that he "didn't throw a single punch" before the KO was completely and utterly fallacious, and it's strange to characterize a punch as "lucky" when he was consistently avoiding Lidell's flurries and landing it cleanly before the KO. Assuming you did watch the fight, were you by any chance inebriated?

As for Evans being a "marquee fighter", I never made that claim, nor do I believe he'll ever be a legit draw.

All I'll agree on is Liddell should have seen it coming. It was a soft left lead and obvious big looping follow up right. The type of punch that should hit fresh air 99 times out a hundred! If Evans thinks that type of lucky counter punch is going to sucker many other opponents...no chance.

Liddel was just slower. He tried to get off a punch and got beat to it. Simple as that.

  15. Evans movement is stellar and it was definitely pissing Chuck off. Dana White looked like he was going to cry because his money-maker lost. I was pulling for Evans, but never thought he'd KO Chuck the way he did and I'm hoping he does the same against Griffin and ends up 18-0.
