well where was khan ranked? wherever they rank prescott it has to be above khan.anyway just because a guy has fought no one and is unknown doesn't mean to say he isn't a good fighter.you never know how good people are until they are given their chance.

When No. 110 beats a top 10 (I dont know what place Khan was at) then there has to be a lot of moving to do.

Also, Rocky lost. Nobody ever seems to remember that.

People should know by now that Boxrec's rankings are computerized. They're not as good as the IBO's rankings, IMHO, but they're a lot better than most of the ABC's rankings. Khan was a top 3 contender for two of the ABC belts, meaning Prescott will be ranked much higher than #13 when their new rankings come out. One flaw is that it doesn't account for robberies, but that's a problem with judging, not a problem with Boxrec's formula.

I am not arguing with the ranking of Prescott at #13, he certainly earned the position.

Im just amazed that a guy who was considered a Top 10 P4P in his weight class just got knocked the **** OUT and destroyed by a fighter who wasnt even within the top 100.
    That is just pathetic.
If you look at Prescotts opponents, it makes sense, Ive just never a case happen like this where such an unknown and essentially unranked fighter that no one had heard of rose to such prominence so quickly.

Hang on though, since when did Boxrec's rankings become gospel?
There were several guys loudly complaining about Khan being ranked as high as he was in the first place.

Bear in mind that, according to Boxrec, Floyd Patterson was the 4th greatest HW of all time while Vitali Klitschko barely scrapes in at 60th.

No one said they are the gospel. I am just using them to demonstrate how Khan got beaten by a fighter that came almost literally out of nowhere.
I realize why Warren picked Prescott, aside from the amazing fact that he found him in the first place.
Prescott had a super deceptive record. 19 opponents, 9 of them with negative records. Only 3 of them even had a winning record.
Warren must have thought his record was just all padding. Looking at it, it would certainly make you question how good he really was. He makes Khan look like a world beater

Has there ever been a jump that big in rankings, For beating such an unproven fighter?

Prescott isn't worthy of such a high ranking imo, But neither was Khan.

Prescott should follow the Pacquiao foot-step. Jump right on these top guys and if he keeps wacking them then he will be a star very soon.

Boxrec ranked Khan at 7 before. That was way too high, he had done nothing to deserve a place in the Top 10 imo.

The basic problem is that computer generated rankings suck. There are top 10 guys in every division who have never fought a top 25 fighter.

I'd like to see if Prescott has anything to offer or not. Up to now he has fought a bunch of cans, and two prospects. I'd love to see him on FNF against Miguel Huerta or Kid Diamond. Let him fight a few gatekeepers, and show us what he's got. My best guess is that Huerta would tear his ass up.
