certainly a side show match, but I'll pick Couture. As a matter of fact I'll always pick against Brock. Brock is one guy I just don't respect and feel is bad for MMA.

    Is it a side show?

I hated how Rashad Evans did his classless dance after winning tonight.
I hated how Lesnar laughed at his opponent after his last win.

This is the kind of young monster that negates all of Coutures strenghs.

No matter who you like, interesting matchup, ages considered.

I'm defiantely interested in the fight and I am going to watch it, but I just can't stand Lesnar's WWE routine...he's brought it into the UFC with the way he tries to get himself over as some kind of heel. That's why I call it a side show. Hey, the fact he's ex-wwe and behaves the way he does puts asses in seats and that's great for him, people like to be entertained through showmanship, but I just don't agree with how he's been given a free ride when other guys have dedicated their whole lives to the sport and may never get they break they look for. That's the main issue really, but I admit the UFC is doing the right thing BUSINESS wise. What do you think/ Do you see where I am coming from?

Anyway, I'ts going to be interesting to see how Couture handles the big man seeing as he's going to be giving up like 30+ lbs. I think the experienced Couture will get the W over the young, brash, powerful, Lesnar though. I wonder if Lesnar-Emelianko could ever happen down the line.

that seems a bit unfair as almost all mma fighters after a big ko victory tend to celebrate, the only difference being this time the crowd was in shock as opposed to mindless bliss as they tend to be after such an exciting win, his little dance was still in the heat of the moment whether the noise of the crowd supports that view or not

Yeah, I just hope that when Evans gets his ass handed to him, whoever, does the same pissy dance back to him!

I hope Couture beats Lesnar, it's a very tough fight for Randy tho, I think he has to submit Lesnar Mir style. The trademark ground and pound will be very hard to pull off here. Hope he can do it tho, and give the big punk a doing!

30+lbs? Lesnar comes into the ring at around 285. Randy at best will be around 220. Randy really does have his work cut out.

Yeah, but so did Tim Sylvia. Weight won't really be an issue in my opinion.

Now I know Randy has had trouble in the past with bigger dudes. But Barnett and Ricco were/are much better fighters than Lesnar. Lets be real, Brock is a one-dimensional Wrestler with poor/average striking at best. If Randy comes into the fight in peak condition like he usually is, this should be an easy win for Couture.

Have you heard of heavy hands? Yeah, Brock has those.

lol no he doesn't where did you get that from? Has he knocked anyone yet? umm no. "Heavy hands" refers to the fact that his punch caries so much explosiveness that they knock people out. It does not refer to 75lbs per hand.

Not a very good comparison is it? Tim has the foot speed of a cow. Brock is blessed with the most athleticism iv ever seen in a man that big. Im certainly aware of Brocks poor MMA credentials but theres come intangibles here that arent surmountable. The best thing Randy can do is box him or hope to submit him on the mat.Wrestling with him is not an option.

Did I compare them as fighters or by how athletic they are? No. I compared their weight. That's it.

Well thats quite an immaterial point considering the result of most of Tims fights when he steps up to face elite compeition.
