At 175 it is premature cuz he doesn't even think of moving up so far.At 168 Calzaghe prolly beat's him and it would be a hell of a fight with Kessler which is a pick'em,but I go with Bute.Any puncher has his chance but by the looks of the Berrio fight don't think there is one to KO him

Why did people assume Kessler ducked Miranda?

Was that fight even going to be competitive? Kessler would smash Miranda.

Most likely they avoided eachother but there was some rumor that team Kessler called it off that's why.About the fight you prolly are right but he is a puncher so we can never know

We know as much as it is possible to know in boxing, Kessler would deal with Miranda inside 5 rounds. It would not be a boxing match, but a demolition.

Miranda has been hopeless against anybody that doesn't look at their feet the whole fight.

So you think bar Calzaghe, Bute is unbeatable at 168?

You think he beats the likes of Kessler, Pavlik, Abraham etc?

    Just clarifying.

The 168 lb division is not like 135 or 147,it is not very very deep.Pavlik and Abraham are MWs,by the time they move up maybe Bute will be at 175 maybe. To me as a fan the fight at 168 is Bute vs Kessler, winner is no 1,loser is no 2

I dunno, 168 could be the deepest division in boxing very soon.

I'm only really worried about Kessler, as he's very tight at the weight and could possibly move up if big fights don't materialize. I hope not.

I think Kessler will be around for a while, Bute has no reason to move up yet since he's only a beltholder, Taylor is around, Froch/Fruit-Pastille winner is in the reckoning, Pavlik/Abraham in the next year or so.

I'm not looking for a hypothetical answer based on circumstance.

Just answer the questions man. Geez.

    Bute vs Pavlik - 12 Rounds @ 168lbs
    Bute vs Abraham - 12 Rounds @ 168lbs
    Bute vs Kessler - 12 Rounds @ 168 lbs

    Winner: ?
    Method:
    Round:

    All I ask.

Ok,Bute vs Pavlik 168:Bute UD,Pavlik will be exposed by Hopkins at 170,he can;t fight over 160,he is a big MW and taht is all,he can't carry the power at 164,at 168,170 he is half his normal state,he is much slower etc.
Bute vs Abraham 168:This is a good fight, hard to pick cuz Abraham would be a good SMW,it's a pick'em but I go with Abraham maybe even stoppage if not clear decision.
Bute vs Kessler 168:The fight at 168 now,it goes to the scorecards anyway,I go with Bute UD,SD or MD having sharper punches

Interesting that you pick Abraham to beat Bute. Of course there's always a chance of him landing something big and his defensive guard is good, but he was getting outboxed by Elvin Ayala up to the KO and I think Bute is a notch above him. Combine that with him being naturally bigger I would pick Bute by UD.

Pavlik-Hopkins is a tough fight to call. If Hopkins was just a bit more active throughout rounds and throughout the entire fight I wouldn't hesitate in picking him, his defence is good enough to block a predictable jab-straight right combination from Pavlik, and his chin good enough aswell. Pavlik however boxed very well against Taylor at 166 and so I would probably edge towards him just about. Pavlik 115-113.

Kessler I've already explained. Kessler 116-112.
