    My word....

That is messed up. I hope for his family's sake that he can get himself together. They deserve better than this.

sad stuff. Hopefully the guy can regain some pride and honour. I think a full on comeback is a step to far, but at least behave like a man.

What is a shame is he was actually good. Not on Calzaghe and Hattons level but below them and above the WBU champs and hyped prospects. A VERY solid champ with QUALITY wins.

Like Wlad said it's a long way to the top but only one step to the bottom.

I don't really like to disrespect fighters but that's better, he's better off out of there instead of getting seriously hurt one day.

hmm. I wondered how long it would take before news of this story found its way onto the boxing forums. I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would slip under the radar, but someone always finds out I suppose...

The reason I say this is cos I dont like to see people kick a man when hes down, & that story is just an excuse for the nastier people on the internet to sink the boot right into him. I hope this thread doesnt go in that direction, cos at the end of the day things are looking dangerously bleak for Scotty.

Im still in shock, cos only two years ago he was one big fight away from achieving greatness, but thats the demon drink for you. It takes everything away if your not careful.
