Calzaghe should fight Pavlik after Jones and then retire.

Nobody in the general public knows who Dawson is and its the public who will generate the money and interest that's needed at this late stage for him.

Plus there are many who believe Pavlik would KO Joe so it would be a great way to retire by shutting them all up.

Business: Pavlik. But expect Joe to make the bout over 168. He would be significantly bigger than Pavlik.
The easier way: winner of Tarver-Dawson. Tarver is too slow. Even Dawson, who is a very good boxer, is slightly slower than Calzaghe, so his main asset disappears. Plus he showed us he's not very good in adjusting in a ring. Joe is.
The other way: Lucian Bute. But he won't fight him. Bad business. But I would love to see it.

I'm pretty sure IF he fights one more time, it will be against Tarver or Dawson. That will no be convincing.

he has earned it, and i don't need someone calling himself bad intentions to tell me otherwise

I am one of the people who thinks Dawson will crack Joe.

realistically perfect way for calzaghe to go out of boxing and down in history as a legend:

    Jones
    Dawson
    Pavlik
Kessler again (because Kessler will be a huge name in 18 months)

Joe simply should knock out Roy and call it a day. He has nothing else to prove to others and to himself. But if he wants to carry on, take on a newcomer with a name like Kelly or Chad... Problem it would be if Antonio comes to beat Chad and specially if Bernard comes to beat Kelly - with this scenario, Joe has definitely nothing more to do cause he beat Nard and Nard beat Antonio, out of the question to rematch Bernard.

that would mean another 2/3 years in the sport, never happen

jones then pavlik, that would do.
thats if old man hopkins doesn't show him up.

It's funny then why so many people think he does isn't it.

Well if he wants to call himself a legend.

It''s not my fault he left his run too late.

It's not funny at all, it's actually awful. Not being a Calzaghe fan by any means, it beats me how can a guy defend 20 plus times a SMW title, fight unification fights, beat Bernard at LHWT ( coming off the floor in round 1 and turn it around), remain undefeated and still take people's thinking... It gat 2 be hate.

Pavlik is totally overrated. Joe would score a simple UD over him. Tarver/Dawson would be far more challenging IMO. Pavlik still has to beat Abraham and Kessler to prove hes worthy of fighting Joe. The RJJ fight is far more of a risk than Calzaghe thinks. RJJ was desperate for this fight making me think hes figured out a way to beat Calzaghe
