    - Started pro at age 15, fighting men alomost twice his age.

-Outcasted and ducked for many years because of his relentless pressure and granite chin.

-Told his Promoter to "KISS OFF", lost his title in honor defending it to a worthy mandatory rather then give it up for a shot at "stardom".

    - Denied an immediate rematch so he went on to pick up another title then dethroned the #1 WW in world in exciting fashion, becoming an instant boxing legend.

MARGARITO. A throw back, a legend.

Yes, he's done well but a 'legend'?!!
Isn't this thread a few weeks late - the euphoria and excessive praise that came with it have ceased and we look to see Margo make the right decisions as to his next fight now he finally has his (deserved) position of power.

Yes, when Tony went to PR for the Ivan Calderon (sp) fight he was swamped by PR's who wanted his pic and autograph every where he went.

KO a PR star = instant lengend.

James Dean was a notorious bisexual too. But jokes aside, it might be a little early to call him a legend. He is a top,if not THE top WW, and although he deserves his success, I say we wait a bit before we start calling him a legend.

James Dean was just a poncy *** actor who died young.
He doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as a warrior like Margo.
Deans legendary status is Hollywood hype BS(he starred in films, ooh, how rebelious).Margo will have to earn his.

Wow, same comeback about a fighter who's not even my favorite. I was hoping for something a little better from you. But either way, that comparison makes no sense.

OMG such a DRAMA Queen ..

He didn't tell his promotor to kiss off ,, it was Arum who told MArgarito to kiss off.
when Toney tried to get Arum to ether match Goosen Offer 1.5 mil or exceed it. his fighting william had nothing to do with Honor , it had everything to do with money.

He wasn't denied a rematch , Arum wasn't having a rematch . So Toney can say he wanted a rematch and he can say William wouldn't grant it , but the truth was Arum wasn't having rematch since he was very close to suing Margarito until Goosen got the WBO to step in .

Margarito is like any other prize fighters ,,, its only business

    Legend???? LOL.

He's just a huge guy that trains down to 147 and he has a good chin. Nothing more.

Put him in there in his natural weight class of 160 and he gets murdered by Pavlik, Taylor, or Abraham.
