True, and I have to agree. But what happens when Khan faces any reasonably hard puncher? To me Khan might as well take a Prescott rematch and try and get back some of his public image. Then he can go back to being careful about who he faces. The alternative is to face weak punchers indefinately. He might as well retire.

Couldnt have put it better myself....Khan needs the rematch and soon. Otherwise what he does in the meantime won't mean ****. Regardless of how Prescott does Khan will always be expected to beat him and for good reason.
If Khan takes an immediate rematch as he should and come away with a victory I will even give him some credit:good

    Wait a while...Maybe never.

If Khan gets a few wins vs decent opposition and feels he could avenge his defeat, this fight could happen.

But if khan is unable rack up some wins vs decent opposition (which many would argue he's never fought decent opposition), then khan won't get a chance to avenge his loss

One easy fight, if it goes well then a rematch after it.

I'd say never take the rematch the first small jab Prescott landed wobbled Khan, I just don't see how Khan can win a rematch.

There is no way in hell he will never take a rematch, even if Prescott loses his next fight by first round KO he will ALWAYS be considered by Khan and his team. They know that Prescott's name will always be mentioned throughout his career so they might as well try to avenge that defeat soon.

Also, it wasn't really the jab that hurt him. It was the right hand before the jab that landed which clearly hurt Khan, the jab just confirmed that he was hurt.

Khan will NEVER be anything in this sport unless he is matched VERY carefully, with as feather-fisted fighters as they can find. His handlers REALLY blew it with this one. They clearly knew Khan had a shaky chin, which is why he only fought light-hitters before Prescott, and yet they still took this fight.

A lesson to matchmakers - even if a guy is knocking out nobodies and novices, he's still knocking people out. If your guy's got a glass jaw, it's not worth the risk to find out if he's legit.

Warren will try and match Prescott with someone who beats him and then put Khan in with them and say there no need to fight Prescott we beat the guy who beat him, i know how Warren thinks, hes so stupid hes predictable.

I'll be hoping Prescott is prepared for that. I'm a fan of Khan and would still like to see him rematch this guy sooner or later as long as he does good in his next easy fight.

Or we could just say Khan isn't going to be anything in this sport period, because fighting strictly nothing but guys who can't punch isn't a viable possibility. Not as a business, not at this point.

I agree with the poll results so far, though they are pretty far ranging in opinion.

if he can get a better defence then he can think about a rematch
