Honestly I hate both fighters mainly because Tarver tends to get too much credit for being in the right place at the right time(Roy Jones). I hate Dawson because he's nothing more than a piece of **** coward...
The question for me is who do I hate more?? Probably Dawson, despite this I'm picking him to win on points, however I would be marginally pleased if infact Tarver won the fight

All in all its a fight between a B level champion(Tarver) vs. an uneducated hoodrat, thats also a ****ing coward with a weak chin(Dawson)......so I guess what I'm trying to say is I really don't give a **** but would be pleased if by some miracle Tarver would expose the china chin of this furcoat wearing ****** that goes by the name of Chad Dawson

For a monster shot to land in this game it takes the movement, timing, body positioning, and placement of both fighters combined to create a "perfect" result. In that sense alot of them are lucky because very rarely does a professional prize fighter put himself in a vulnerable enough position for you to hit him so cleanly and powerfully that you can knock him virtually, or literally, unconcious.

When Mayweather "check" hooked Hatton in the 10th round after attempting to land that exact same shot half a dozen times, was that luck? No, clearly not - it's an example of a damaging shot that wasn't luck, and was very much a premeditated manuever - but, it goes to show how hard it is to land a knockout/power punch you are deliberately trying to set up, doesn't it? Mayweather got repeated chances to land that shot, and was only succesful after multiple attempts, and several recalculations and readjustments.

Now, when Tarver lowered his head and took steps forward and came up bombing with that left out of nowhere in the 2nd, and Roy just happened to be there, when he could have been anywhere else, was that luck? Was it? He sure was "lucky" Jones was there to be hit, hmm? Jones didn't make it very hard for him, let's say that much... Tarver could have literally landed that punch with his eyes closed. Literally.

Also, you're saying here that tactically Tarver was "all wrong" for Jones, essentially. I completely disagree. Tarver was all wrong for Jones mentally. Physically and tactically Jones owned Tarver whenever he snapped out of his trance and actually fought him.

i agree to some extent....it's not like it's a mismatch or anything, but skill for skill dawsons the better fighter

not to mention he's bigger, younger, and has the reach advantage... and to top it all off he's a southpaw (even though tarver is to)... but when you at all up for dawson, i'd say he's any sane man's pick

You make it seem like Tarver just stepped forward and closed his eyes and landed. It was a half lead/half counter left. He was working off of what RJJ threw (left hook) and took a calculated step forward and landed. He was even hit with the left hook at the same time when he landed his left. Difference was that RJJ threw his left hook going somewhat backwards so there was nothing on the punch while Tarver had full leverage on his punch.

And did you watch the part of the video i was talking about? You did see him just miss the left about 20 seconds before he landed the KO punch right?

And even RJJ stated many times that Tarver would've given him fits in his best days. Eric Harding was another rangy lefty that gave RJJ some problems. He had to quit in the 10th because his arm muscle ripped but it was one of the most competitive fights RJJ has ever been in.

    :rofl
Tarver is ****ing delusional he should be the underdog hell he's 40. Dawson is the the younger faster more active fighter and he will outwork him to a UD win.
