Griffin is smart and disciplined and well rounded enough to win what will probably be a boring tactical fight. It always strikes me that Evans is content to wait around for a chance to win when his opponent makes a mistake and if his opponent never does that he'll coast to a three round loss.
When has Evans ever come out that aggressive? Since the Jardine fight, Griffin has been a lot less reckless. This fight will look a lot more like Jardine/Liddell than it will Jardine/Griffin.
What is Griffin going to do, out-point Rashad to a decision? I don't see that happening. Forrest doesn't have to come out swinging like he did when he fought Bonnar the first time or Keith. Rashad has shown his one-punch KO power with Salmon and now Liddell. All it takes is one punch and Forrest will be out.
Griffin very patiently stuck to his plan and outpointed Rampage to a decision, and Evans just waits around the whole fight. I don't see Griffin allowing Evans to land a clean shot like the one that put Liddell out. I suspect he'll land his share of jabs because he's going to be quicker than Griffin, but not that looping right. You make it sound like Evans is superhuman knockout machine when Bisping (who is MUCH smaller than Griffin) went the distance as have plenty of other guys. Also, he knocked Salmon out with a kick that Griffin will NEVER leave himself open to.
And you make it seem like you know Griffin's every move by saying he will never leave himself open to a head kick. Bro, Forrest won that fight because Page was basically fighting on one leg. Griffin didn't do crap to Quinton besides landing those kicks early in the second round. But the point is that fight is over and done with. I'm not going to sit here and make excuses. Griffin won that fight. But Rashad moves quicker than Rampage. You always see Evans moving his head and constantly moving around. Forrest is a slow dude, even you have to admit that. If this fight were to be a snooze fest, I'd take Rashad to win only because he's never loss.
