The person that lands significant punches seems to lose too often for my liking.

If my intuition tells me that fighter A has won, I am sure that he will lose the decision and am usually correct.

Perhaps my intuition sucks, but I know many agree with me.

They tried to take all subjectivity out of scoring in reaction to corrupt judging at the '88 Olympics. The pendulum swung too far and now the ams (at the national and international level) has become a game of hit and hold or hit and wrestle. The computer scoring system has taken "fighting" out of boxing. Thus making it pretty boring to watch.

Don't they only count punches to the face now?So if someone lands a crushing hook to the side of the head its not counted.Same with a hook to the body.

its too tip tap for me, i hate it. like amy said, the systems taken the fight out of boxing. funny example was during the 08 olimpics, i watched a brazilian boxer (dont know the name) eat an average left jab to the face. he then staggered back holding his face in pain! i mean what sort of of boxer does that???? lol

but yerr, the 10/9 system is alot more effective in my opinion

No, that's not true. All the same punches count just as before. However, with 3 of the 5 judges having to score a blow within one second, it's very hard to see a body shot from 3 different sides of the ring, unless you are fortunate enough to be turned just right so the side with 2 judges sees the punch. Then your chances of it counting are greater.
