It seems Kevin Johnson is off as David Haye's next opponent. But rumors now say Eddie Chambers, the young and fast US HW prospect who's only defeat came from the hands of Alex Povetkin. Since the PTS defeat he's fought once and TKO'd Raphael Butler. Of course he holds a win over Dominick Guinn and Calvin Brock in an eliminator. He stunned Povetkin twice in their fight but the busy Russian did enough in most rounds to win rather easily. But his face showed Chambers was there as well...

I say Chambers is a very credible opponent. Just look at the HW scene and find a better one if you can... Chambers IS a qualified contender these days, and while a lot of readers will discredit him as well, the fact remains that there's no other Top15 fighter available, credible, and willing to fight under $500K. Team Haye also have to deal with US TV, so an American HW is almost guaranteed...

Chambers, while not the future of the HW division, is a good test for Haye, believe me!

Not a bad opponent at all. Not exactly a big strong heavy though. He's more like fat cruiserweight.

Haye by KO. Chambers is not active enough to beat anyone good.

I've just seen on a BS website that JD chapman might possibly be Haye's next opponent.

Yes, but very fast for a HW and has an very decent chin. I mean Povetkin landed some bombs but Chambers took it well... But it's even better for Haye. He need some rounds in the bag.

According to a recent press release, his opponent shall be announced after a public workout. Everybody is tired of speculating, especially as his opponents who have been recently discussed are total bums.

The day Haye's team genuinely lands a fight the world is going to stop spinning.

Good fight for haye, as i think chambers will find out how much harder haye hits and if he does blow him out it will make people sit up and take notice :good
