Paul Williams Will KO Cotto Faster Than Margarito

**** you, beeotch! I'm kidding. Anyway, I have to agree with yu on the durability of Williams point-but that's about the extent of it. I have to agree with True in that Cotto paced himself with Zab and Sugar and only rilly buckled once from Shane. And yu hafta consider or take into account that the two accounts prior to Margo and Sugar (which Shane didn't exactly wobble him) that Cotto got wobbled is when he was struggling to make Jr. Welter. Cotto's a true Welterweight, and it took Margo to make him see the birds circle his head like that.

 

I like PW, but just because MArg stopped Cotto doesn't mean Williams will do it! Cotto is a different animal than Antonio and Quintana. BTW, common sense tells me Paul cannot win an inside fight with Miguel.

Williams wont beat Cotto.

 

Cotto saying Margarito was the better man that night was simply because Margarito prepaired himself for that style and stamped out the body assualt Cotto needed to get done to pull off the win, Cotto did not have an off night, that fight was ****ing close he was landing solid bombs on Margarito but it just wasnt enough to keep the man off of him.
Cotto said, it wasnt my night not I had an off night, it wasnt my night and off night is being dominated and blown out that didnt happen neither Cotto was in the fight until the stoppage.

 

he may be weaker and slower but he's definatelly more skilled than cotto

 

what about the early zab judah uppercuts that forced him to run to the ropes and try to hold

Cotto loses a great, tough, hard fought battle to a great, extremely tough nosed, iron bearded, margarito and now he can't even buy a fight.WOW. Williams is a solid fighter but Quintana clearly showed the flaws in his game and anyone who saw the second fight between them saw quintana landing the same style of punches as he did the first time before paul caught him clean. Cotto is not only a better boxer, but he is also a better all around fighter than quintana. Yea Margo beat cotto, but he put tons of pressure on cotto, didn't let him sit on his punches, and took a hell of a beating to do so. Margo is the only welter that beats cotto on July 26. And if cotto and williams were to fight it wouldn't go the distance, Cotto would stop him with shots to the body. I just can't believe how easily people write cotto off. I can't wait til he gets back in the ring and shuts some people up.

If Arum is as confident as you and many others in this thread, he should make the fight happen for early 2009. Cotto can get a belt, get his career back on track, and setup a big fight with Margo for Summer of 2009. In fact, in March, it should be Cotto vs. Williams and Margo vs. Clottey. The winners can then face eachother.

 

i agree with most but i dont think paul would stop cotto at all.i can see him out pointing him.williams to margos best but it took the whole fight and the last min of the last rd to shake up paul somewhat.to little to late i guess, pw is a strong fighter with that height that makes it easier for him to box margo then cotto.

margo had cotto sliding all over the ring from start to finnish and he had cotto boxing in a style that really is not his style of fighting.bully turned boxer
well paul is a slick boxer with the dumb height and reach, and he can take as much as he can give it and sometime better.

i dont think pw is as strong a margo in the punching power, faster and better boxer but not stronger in the punching power.but paul can take his licks and not fold under the pressure, which is a great thing.

bottom line, pw would outpoint cotto.nothing more, nothing less.anything else would shock me.

 

i think it would be a good fight with cotto pulling out a ud or late tko
although margarito is a more aggressive fighter who puts on more pressure than cotto, he is not a bigger puncher margarito wears you down almost like sprinting in a five mile race while cotto pounds you with heavy precise combos all night
margarito hurt williams in the 11th with a body shot which was good for williams that it was the end of the round.
if the ref follows rules and makes williams pull his pants to his waist instead of around his nipples cotto would be in great range to throw hooks to that long skinny body
williams has good stamina but not as good as margaritos which is what really won marg that incredible fight in rounds 8-11 of williams fight with marg he looked
styles make fights and i believe cotto would eat that long skinny mid section for dinner

 

i've got cotto over williams any day.
