For people giving Guzman crap about not making weight

Corrales was well over for the 3rd bout with Casamayor.

Castillo also was way over for Bradley.

 

I'm a Guzman fan but there's no way moving up in weight that he shouldn't be able to make it. And for the record I like Castillo and when he did it I was disappointed with him as well. But not fighting Nate even coming in overweight put the icing on the cake. There's no defending Guzman.

Castillo was crucified on boxing forums and heavily criticized by boxing writers for the aborted Corrales rubber match.

I guess it's too much to ask boxing fans to remember that long ago era that was 2006.

 

Corrales and especially Castillo got tons of **** about over weighing. Castillo got a massive fine for doing it a second time against Corrales.

 

I think its 2 things. Missing the weight first of all, but most importantly was him refusing to fight even after Nate agreed to fight him over the weight.

 

guzman never made weight because he couldn't train all week, I can't wait till guzman gets his next fight because he is going to shut all of you up.

Guzman will beat any lightweight in the world.

Unless my memory is buggy, Castillo also didn't come up in weight for the 3rd Corrales fight. He'd been struggling to make weight for like...ever.
