Cotto is to good a box-puncher in my opinion. I would say he would fight Hatton in the same vein he fought Margarito, the only difference being Hatton isnt as resiliant or as physically imposing at Welterweight as Margo. It would be a good fight with Cotto stopping a courageous (as always) Hatton in 7-9 rounds imo.
Cotto gives hatton a far worse beat down than Mayweather. Stops hatton earlier than did Mayweather. I don;t expect to see this fight transpire. Hatton seems to be on a steep decline. I pick him to lose to Paulie M. the pink haired girlie man by UD.
I like Hatton, but all he would do in this fight is try and hold on to Cotto like he`s done for the last few years to other fighters. Cotto would out class Hatton. 11 TKO
Hatton has next to zero chance now if this fight ever came off which it won't. Like someone else said it would have been a cracking fight with Hatton in his prime at 140 but no chance now. Cotto would stop Hatton within 7 rounds.
if hatton had more pop it could be a better fight but hatton's style is pretty crude, cotto is a better technical fighter and i just don't see cotto losing this.
yea i don't see hatton havin much of a chance he hasn't looked too good in a few years outside of the castillo fight in which castillos body was so beat up from cutting weight and the wars he was in i'd say hatton is a little past his prime while cotto is in it or close to it
we all no hatton must only fight at 140 if he is to win. cotto would be way to dangerous and could not happen, fights against jokers like paulie are one thing but cotto is completely different as he is 147 up not 140 any more
Nopes . . . bad fight for Hatton . . . Cotto by beatdown. Cotto will dismantle Hatton a lot worst than the pot shotting PBF did.:deal
Hatton is too small for Welterweight, and Cotto is one of the biggest and most powerful men in the division. This fight makes very little sense to me.
I hope it happens for one reason. My dad was a huge fan back in the day, but he doesn't follow the sport anymore. When he watched the Cotto vs Margarito replay, he came to the conclusion that Cotto cannot punch. Let's see how he feels when he knocks Hatton the **** out, which is precisely what would happen if the fight was made.
I wouldn't mind the this fight. It is an intriguing match up but in the end I'd favor Cotto by brutal KO. It would either send Hatton into retirement or soften him up for Pac.
