    san rafael,

Give specific examples of when he was "horrific". The only one i can recall on top of my head was the Winky/Hopkins fights when he scored it a draw. But you could tell he was biased in his commentary.

The HBO team is a favorite of mine and an institution in my house, Lederman included, but this guy makes a ****ing MOCKERY of what is actually happening in fights. MOST of the time. Larry Merchant - now there is a guy who can score, and he almost always disagrees with Harold. Many of the color commentators over the years have directly suggested or implied that Lederman is clueless.. And he is.

But I'm not a ****ing sap. I want it done right. Regardless.

Don't worry about that.. I'm going to go through some fights. BELIEVE THAT. I'll get plenty of specific examples. I can literally, randomly, pick any fight and get clear examples. Generally though, Harold starts out every fight scoring like a ****ing senile blind ******, and then he'll start fudging rounds to make up for it.. I'll do a study and get results - but with all due respect.. If you have to ask, I have to question just how involved you are as a boxing fan, how many fights you've actually viewed, and what your awareness level truly is. SERIOUSLY. This is a NO BRAINER type of subject matter. But I understand the attachement to Lederman as part of the team. That's a seperate issue though.

No, I've gotten way to use to him over the years for him to be replaced.

Ah, yes.. And speaking of biased - that's a whole different subject, because we don't know what's behind some of what Harold Lederman does. Nowadays, this guy almost never scores against the HBO fighter. Hardly ever. But to me that would be an excuse in his favor. It means he's not actually senile or stupid..

Lederman had it 115-113 for Williams and yes, i would have to disagree with that one.

As crazy as this sounds....he brings an entertainment value to boxing.
Just watching Lampley bite his lower lip to keep from laughing when he
    reaches back for historical reference.

I actually like him....and if you look objectively he is more accurate than most of the bias or incompetent judges.
    Good post...

umm just because someone doesn't agree with you that doesn't mean they don't watch fights

from your idiotic logic, harold lederman has never seen a fight before because he disagrees with you, and no offense buddy but im sure harold lederman has seen at least thousands of fights more than you have

also a view from press row is completely different from watching on tv, something you would know if you actually had attended any fights

Hey, you're the ****** who couldn't even frame his first response in the proper tense, and I have idiot logic??? If Harold Lederman (or anyone else for that matter) is a moron, or acting in the interests of his BIASED HBO network, than it doesn't matter how many fights he's watched, does it? A ****** is a ******, you should know that, ******. Watching almost no fights at all - now there's a zero platform to speak from, stupid ****.

These attempts at insults are weak, *****. You better **** off out of my thread or contribute some logic. Punks aren't welcome here. Idiots aren't either. I don't need a ****ing douche explaining to me the difference between ringside and TV. There's no input needed from you, so shut the **** up and sit down.

No but I think he holds little credibility with people who know boxing. The dude cant score a fight for **** but I couldnt imagine anyone else doing his job for him. I use his scorecards to measure how well I can score fights, if my card looks like Ledderman's, then I am not doing ok
