Given up the booze this month and with the spare cash i'm half thinking of subscribing to a mag, which of these would you go for if any? i've read them all in past but not sure whether i'd be wasting money with all the online articles available these days

    Boxing monthly (12 issues £53)

    The Ring (12 issues £68 )

    Boxing News (52 issues £184)

Dont get the ring - its full of **** like fantasys match ups etc - and its the most expensive issue for issue.

Boxing News is on a weekly basis so every friday you have something to look forward too boxing wise.

But I also enjoy to get my hands on a new Boxing Monthly for a quality read

At the prices - I'd go for Boxing Monthly - quality read

I subscibe to BN but generally buy BM too

I think you have the 2 year price for BN above - one year definitely costs less than £100

I am a big Boxing News fan and a subscriber. Great read and something to look forward to on a Friday. I prefer the magazine over the other ones because the monthly mags are usually out of date by the time they come off of the printer and the decent articles are usually on line.

    I buy all three.

Just don't buy a Boxing Digest subscription (its ****); you should be happy with any of the three that you mentioned.

They all have their pros and cons, but I say BN tops out due to the weekly thing.

got the prices off an independent subscription site (newsstand.co.uk) and that was the price it quoted for BN for 1 year, just checked on BN site and you're right that's their two year price, one year only £98, loads better value

    It depends what you after.

If you want all the details of all the fights every week on the British pro circuit - go for Boxing News.

Boxing Monthy is more about covering the big fights - and has a little section with a brief up of British fights too.

Before the internet (and a mortgage!) I used to get them all, BN, The Ring, KO Boxing etc very rarely bother at all now though.

I once bought a RING one off special costing £5.95 on the DE LA HOYA V MAYWEATHER fight - I dont waste my money like that anymore though
