Joe Calzaghe: Pavlik is full of bulls***

this would be a great fight...between two great fighters...a very close fight and a close outcome. fantastic...i would love for this to happen ASAP

 

Joe Calzaghe is full of bull****....If I had a ****ing dollar for everytime he contradicted himself I'd be driving a ****ing Ferrari

 

2 mistakes calzaghe made when referring to pavlik. 1. Pavlik had to fight Taylor in a remath it was in the contract. 2. pavlik did mention calzaghe after he beat Lockett. So Joe has got to get his facts straight. calzaghe might be right about kessler beating Pavlik.

 

Calzaghe should not lie to get some credit on american shores these days... Calzaghe beat Lacy in 2005 and it is unconceivable that his camp was looking for Pavlik when Kelly was an upcoming MW! Then, he says Hopkins didn't know where his corner was during the fight but we all saw Calzaghe going down on his knees and shaken all over at the end of rounds... More, Kessler should say something about Joe using his name so many times, first against Hopkins, now against Pavlik. One way or the other, Calzaghe wants to be known as the worst liar of recent times or he is simply the most unfortunate talkers in boxing today.

 

Im sick of all the calzaghe haters, he will go down as one of the greatest fighters of our era. Nuff said!

Here we go again. First he was "afraid" of the undefeated young turk Lacy, then he was "afraid" of the undefeated, dominant Kessler. Is anyone else getting a serious feeling of deja vu here?

Why does Calzaghe need to lie in order to justify not fighting Pavlik? If he doesn't want to fight him, that's fine. But why tell lies?

Guys, this behaviour really is rather infantile and tired. I don't remember anyone ever saying he was scared of Lacy, as Lacy had not long risen to prominence when the fight was made with Calzaghe. Same with Kessler. By the time both guys had established themselves as good world champions, the fights were made. Saying Calzaghe was afraid to fight them before those fights were made would be like saying now that he is afraid to fight Denis Inkin or Zsolt Erdei.

Calzaghe actually said in his own autobiography written in 2007 that a Kessler fight didn't appeal as Kessler was 'unproven', so I don't know where you get this campaign for Calzaghe to fight him theory from, it simply never happened.

 

He said Pavlik didn't call him out until after the Jones fight was signed, that's a lie.

He said Pavlik rematched Taylor in order to avoid him, that's another lie.

 

all i am saying is will people please lay off on the calzaghe is a coward ****. he can't do anything until after his or pavliks next fight , after which i fully expect a fight to be announced .
