Kessler is nothing like Khan or especially Hamed, thats a horrible comparison. I couldn't think of two styles that are more different.

Actually, comparing Kessler to Hamed should be a compliment, and yes Kessler doesn't have Khan's chin. I'm just trying to say that amateur fundamentals would take a fighter up to a certain level of competition...he usually defeats those that don't have the luxury of an amateur background but would start to show *****s in their armor against fighters with equal fundamentals.

Put it this way...if Taylor for example or even the aforementioned Abraham fought the fighters in Kessler's resume, don't you think they'll have the same, if not better record (higher KO percentage, even a win over Calzaghe)?

Kessler hasn't a single hiccup against a B-fighter whereas some of them have struggled against these types of opponents.

I'd go 16-20 also, but in terms of his ability he definetly has the potential to become a top 10 or even top 5 P4P fighter, IMO he is one of the best fighters H2H today.

They are not even amateur fundamentals. They are pro fundamentals. You would struggle to find 10 rounds dropped in his entire career before Calzaghe, thats impressive even against B competition where you'd expect flaws to show up even if the fighter gets a "W".

They might have the same record, we know Kessler needs to bring it against higher competition, but thats why he isn't in the top 10. Taylor might have the same record, but why the hell would he have higher than 30 KO's in 40? He couldn't knock out JMW's, he's not a powerful puncher.

He hasn't fought the kind of B-fighters Pavlik, Taylor, Hopkins, Jones and Toney has that's why. If he did he'll have around 6 more losses with one or two of those via KO.:smoke

Can you name the six fighters on each of Pavlik's and and Taylor's resumes who you believe would beat Kessler and which one or two would ko him? Thanks in advance.

What does A and B fighters mean?

I would call A fighters top 25 in each division, Then B fighters would be top 100.

You have no idea what pound-for-pound means. What you are saying is a common misconception, but anyone with a brain knows that it is utter garbage.

Anyway, my top 20 p4p just now is:

    1.Manny Pacquiao
    2.Juan Manuel Marquez
    3.Joe Calzaghe
    4.Israel Vasquez
    5.Cristian Mijares
    6.Kelly Pavlik
    7.Antonio Margarito
    8.Bernard Hopkins
    9.Ivan Calderon
    10.Rafael Marquez
    11.Arthur Abraham
    12.Paul Williams
    13.Miguel Cotto
    14.David Haye
    15.Nate Campbell
    16.Juan Diaz
    17.Chris John
    18.Mikkel Kessler
    19.Ricky Hatton
    20.Chad Dawson

So I have Kessler 16-20. I do think he has the ability to go higher if he starts fighting good opposition again at 168.
