Why are people screaming for Pavlik V Calzaghe, and not Dawson V Calzaghe?

If I've learned anything recently, it's that depending on how much you like a fighter, you can pick and choose when his opponent is or isn't shot. Put me down on the "Tarver isn't that shot that a tremendous performance by Dawson is acceptable" bandwagon.

 

Tarver is finished for 2 years,he looked bad with Muriqi,Santiago and Woods,and will look bad again this fight.He doesn't push the trigger anymore

 

I can bet it will be a boring fight with Dawson winning a wide UD against a shot opponent who hasn't looked good in more than 2 years

 

I think because Dawson has more questions than answers at the moment. He didnt look good vs Johnson whereas Pavlik has looked to live up to the hype.

 

He looked good against Clinton Woods

I think Dawson would take him P4P but alas I don't think we've seen Dawson's prime just yet.

Tarver vs Woods was a ****ing boring fight and Tarver didn't look good,Woods looked bad.Only round I liked from Tarver I liked was the 12,he looked pretty average and the fight was pathetic:deal

Yes i think Dawson vs Calzaghe would be just as good of a fight if not better. He had a tough time with Glenn Johnson, i seriously doubt that Pavilk can beat Chad Dawson or Glenn Johnson

 

it wasnt tarver boxing well, it was clinton being totaly rubbish
he made me feel ashamed to be from england, like witter had also done and even hatton has done.
but that is another matter

Tarver=biggest puncher in LHW division. Dawson = weakest chin in LHW division. = Tarver by late tko.
