Marquez at #1 P4P is debatable but there is no reason for him to be behind Calzaghe!

Well, unless you're an appointed judge by one of the sanctioning
bodies or a qualified judge your opinion is what it is, your opinion.
Once again, your boy lost. get over it!

As over-done as it is, he was in his mid-damn-FORTIES!!!

And he STILL managed to put him on the canvass and take him to a VERY close SD loss. I scored it for Calzaghe first by 2, then by 1 (so at least I had it for Joe)

Look at the ease and control of Hops in the first four rounds. NOW, imagine it was 2002... Bernard by UD by at least 8-4, possibly/probably wider.

    I don't think that #1 is debatable, #2 sure but not #1.

    #1 Pacquiao
    #2 Marquez
    #3 Calzaghe

    How do you decide who's # 1?

I had Floyd as the best pfp. Pac is #1 by default. My official pfp top figher with Floyd retired is Joe Calzaghe. He never lost, and he did beat Hop. J.M.M is number 2 on my list. I moved PAc to 3 because he turned into a business man. PAc made his Bones fighting guys who were a bit past it in Morales and Barrera. Morales beat him, and PAc has been stopped in 2 fights in the past. J.M.M will fight anyone anywhere. People saying J.M.M turned down fights for their own reasons never give you the real reason. They say Morales wanted a fight with Marquez at the end of 2005 and would fight in a main event in 2006. that is a lie by Top rank and Arum. Morales was losing to Raheem at lightweight and Marquez was still a featherweight. J.M.M was given a take it or leave it offer by Arum to rematch PAc. They wanted to originally pay Marquez 1.5 mil, but dropped it to 750,000. That is only 150,000 more than their first fight. Nacho and Marquez thought they were worth more...come to find out Arum wanted big money out of the pot. Marquez basically said the lions share of the money should be for the fighters. He then went and fought John to show Arum that he didn't need him to succeed. J.M.M is a true pro, and I have him above PAc because I thought he beat PAc in their last fight. I had PAc winning the first fight. J.M.M doesn't turn down fights and will fight anyone. PAc had Valero and Guzman at 130, and fought Barrera, Morales and J.M.M a total of 7 times. Arum made those fights. Who didn't want to see PAc-Guzman. Once Soto lost to Guzman, Arum didn't want PAc to face a slick boxer. So I have Cal at 1, J.M.M at 2 and Pac at 3...I rambled, but I had to be clear on my reasoning whether dubious or not...

PAc is number 1 by default. People rank him #1 only because they think he is exciting. He has not fought enough prime comp for me to think he is the best in the world. Pac will never be seen by me as pfp the best because he has very few prime fighters he has faced who were good. They say Barrera and Morales were still prime. Ok, I'll give you Marquez who was prime for their first fight. The other 2 were past it and Morales still got a victory. Morales lost to PAc after he went to 135, and then came back down to 130. I have Cal at number 1 with Marquez at 2..Pac is 3rd.

JMM's win at 135 is far more impressive than pac's win at 135

If you have given the rematch to JMM then it is reasonable to rate him infront of pac.

He is definitely ahead of calzaghe

Beside the fact it was a wall of text, the content is very good.

Morales and Barrera along with JMM where the best fighters when Pac fought them. ESPECIALLY against Barrera back in 2003. Can you seriously blame Pac for that?

I think the top 3 at the moment is pretty clear cut.

    #1 Pacman
    #2 JMM
    #3 Calzaghe
