Ive never heard of the guy,i just tried to look up his pro record on boxrec ,cant find the guys record Winning European Gold in 1961 in the AMs is impressive, back then AM boxing was AM boxing,no head guards and bigger talent pool
@ The Dipper - http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=30364&cat=boxer Frankie Taylor's pro record.
His 2 fights with Lennie lion Williams were huge at the time, 2 unbeaten prospects who could both punch. You don't see much of that now. Winstone was British champ at the time.
The quality of boxers in the 60s would make mince meat out of the 2008 modern era of fighter(except maybe HW) looking at Lennie williams record the guy was 28 and zero with a high KO ratio, the best fought the best back then
It was bred into him behind my back garden by local trainer Gareth Bevan. Jones was a good banger at domestic and European level he was devestating.
Enzo Maccarenelli was once described by promoter Frank Warren as the "hardest pound for pound puncher in the entire world"
Enzo has can bang, but i think Frank gets carried away with some things he comes out with you know it Flint
i've not fought for two years i have an idea about what i want to do but can't say on here. I'd like to think technically i'm better now then i was when i was active but i'm no where near as fit and i'm about 12 stone. At my best i was pretty good and would have handled carey and ***an quite handily but they were better on the nights i fought them. Silly losses for silly reasons but such is life. I'd like to think i'll get a second chance. . Winning a central area title would be incredible for me. I'd be as proud as any world champion. But i'm not going to bore you guys with talk. All i'll say is i will be back in a ring one day soon and if all goes well fulfill my always realistic goals.
