I think Skelton would be a good match up for a first fight at heavy for Haye. As someone has already said he is coming off a respectable loss against Chagaev and if Haye did a good number on him it would make people look and listen. Having said that Skelton is very durable and he has a decent dig himself and with his natural strength i could see him giving Haye alot of trouble and you couldnt count Skelton out. About the article i agree with certain points Warren is making......otherwise it is a typically crap Warren article.
Warren always comes across as a complete wanker but he is right about the whole episode being a joke and an embarrassment. Haye has had all this time to set it all up and he is made to look a clown. Haye promotions on this evidence is a joke, hopefully it will get better and hopefully tonights card will go well. Total sell out which means I miss out on ticket. Gutted. Warren vs Skelton would be good just to see if Haye good beat a genuine tough threat. Skelton may be awful to watch but he is sure hard to beat and it would impress alot if Haye could do a number on him.
I think its fair to say Warren wishes he was promoting Haye but haye must think the british public a dumb. With all his **** talking IM going to this and that. What a crock of **** now he wants to fighter not even in the top 50. Makes Warrens match making look ok. A fight with skelton would be ok and fair test for Haye but to be honest with Haye mouthing off all the time how about a top 10 ranked fighter. Is this to much to ask?
Warren is right, I second what he says. Haye won't do nothing at heavyweight. He's not the second, third or fourth coming either. I quite like the Saturday boxing column in the Sun, it makes me laugh. Basically to sum it all up:- Calzaghe is fighting someone to his own admission is past his sell by date. Skelton would KO Haye. Hatton should retire. Khan will be back, the trainer is sacked and blamed. He will still be a world champ. We all know Khan's stock is shite at the moment, he cannot leave Warren. If he had won and left Warren, we would have been reading in the paper how crap Khan was. The stock market crashed. Now British boxing is going to take a dive.
Skelton's not fast enough to catch Haye for a hug. I give Skelton a 2% chance of koing Haye with a lucky headbutt though.
I think Matt Skelton would beat Haye,Warren maybe correct Haye dont want no part of Skelton saying that JD Chapman is a better boxer than Skelton so Warren is way of the mark
Look, everyone knows that David Haye and Frank Warren hate each other with an intense passion. If you are a heavyweight and are in Franks stable dont expect a fight with David Haye anytime soon no matter what your name is....Haye will not do business with Warren and Warren knows it, he is just trying to make Haye look bad (which isn't very hard). Personally I think Haye would ktfo Skelton inside 1 or 2 rounds. Haye's speed would mesmerise the fat Bedford Brawler!
I would be looking to bet on Skelton to beat Haye, yes his fights are shite but he's durable, rough and hits hard enough to knock Haye out. It's not a good match-up for the Hayemaker.
On the other hand, and speaking as someone that likes Skelton, you can't hug what you can't catch. Haye would probably run about one-twoing away for the wide decision as Morph plodded away after him.
Warren is a gutless piece of slime. I recall him digging up Ezra Sellers from the dead to fight Enzo. The BBBofC wouldnt even sanction the bout. He then found his protege some club fighter called Bobby Gunn. And that was actually a world title defense. I dont know where this man gets he`s balls from but people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones. He labels Haye as chinny and seems to be conviniently unaware that he`s cash cow got blown away in under a minute by some unknown colombian who he now magically has options on.By the same token he has said clearly Khan is NOT chinny?!?! The mans nothing more than a parasite. At least theres US heavies putting there name in the hat. The same cant be said of Enzo who hasnt fought since March.
