it's ashame you can't see calzaghe's tactical brilliance. he's one of the most adjustable fighters ive ever seen and he can adapt and make changes as well as anybody. he fights well on the inside and can box behind the jab as shown against kessler.

his flurries may be ugly and amateurish, but he's arguably a top 2/3 fighter in the world today. no super middleweight has accomplished as much as him.

I don't question his status, as his ability to constantly win is impressive. HOW he wins, not impressive.....

But .........You hate to see that kind of injustice go on, much less, as long as Calzaghe's world level streak has went on, slapping like that.

Him winning all these fights against known names, one after the other, with no strength or power to him, is like a REAL ulgy kid in high school, somehow, banging all of the hot women...........its just not right.......

As I said before, KNOCK HIM OUT, ROY! The entire boxing community is behind you!

    This is boxing, not women's ***** slapping.

All three of the people in this clip come off as pathetic in some sense.

That referee stopped the action when Calzaghe was losing steam and visibly wasting himself, too much of a premature attack by no longer young Calzaghe... Manfredo was prepared to strike back but he took too long and the referee intervention comes according to what has been going on in the UK regarding fighters' safety. Still, Roy may do better in that situation but not if he was against JC's 30 plus punch combo on Mitchell just before that 2 round fight was haulted.

Calzaghe will NEVER pull that bull**** with Jones. I have respect for both fighters, but after about the 3rd or 4th shot, Jones would counter with speed and smack him. Works fine against a fighter at the level, but not Jones, whether he is shot or not, he has enough skill to know better than stand and cover.

One of the most asinine stoppages I've ever seen. That fight left a bad taste in my mouth. Calzaghe was just flailing and missing everything, had landed only a handful of glancing slaps in his entire barrage and hadn't even come close to hurting Manfredo, and then there was this surreal moment when the referee came in with his arms raised and you just couldn't believe that he was really doing what it looked like he was doing. Manfredo was in well over his head and clearly wasn't going to win that fight, but he should've at least been allowed to lose fairly.

    Yes.

He fought a very good fight for survival. Maximum defence minimum attack.

Jones has a Glass Jaw. Calzaghe can and might stop him. Let's not forget Jones was brutally KOed by a feather fisted Glen Johnson.

After Calzaghe lands one of his punches on the ref's chin, the ref seems to say to himself:

Oh, good GOD! Stop with the slapping already, big boy! You are going get the win. Its over....... But I must say that I have been slapped hard by my wife!
