Good work Herms! I've slept well in my time gone knowing you would hold down the fort. Got to be honest, I just found out today when I got a new magazine of the Hopkins fight. I still don't know how to feel about that ****, where did that come from?

Ever since Joe decided to take on Jones instead of Pavlik the Calazghe's, Enzo and Joe, have been talking crap about Kelly. They know Kelly won't get involved in a war of words, it isn't his style. As he has said, he lets his fists do his talking. They tried to make it sound as if Kelly hadn't earned a shot at Joe, yet claimed they offered to fight him back in 2006 after Lacy? So basically they said he was worthy when his best win was Zuninga, yet Enzo said Kelly isn't good enough now because he doesn't have 4 or 5 titles. Funny **** really. Like I said, Joe left his fans bare when he took on Jones instead of Kelly. Had he kept his mouth shut about Kelly, that would have been one thing. Most of us understand he wants to cash out and keep his OH. But when he started trying to blame it all on Kelly, that crossed a line for us. Master Calzaghe is one of the few JC fans that has posted that he sees it for what it is. Major disappointment because he honestly feels Joe can take Kelly. I'd posted before that both walk away from this fight with my respect for making it happen. Well, when it came down to it, Joe lost mine. Had he kept his mouth shut, I could have accepted it. But he didn't, so I don't.

Maybe he is right, maybe he isn't. He doens't know Joe's mind any better than the rest of us. Joe has made a big deal of keeping his OH, so one could assume he isn't afraid of Pavlik as much as losing his OH. He may not be afraid to fight him and get a beating as much as getting a loss on his record. Big difference.

like ol dude below u said, whether he's scared or not, ALL HE WANTS 2 DO IS PROTECT HIS O. i swear he's a white mayweather, he wants to be known as one of the best but won't face the best. i know it's not my time, but that's why Ali, Frazier, Foreman, and Joe Louis, including Sugar Ray Robinson get much more respect than Marciano. I'm not saying u have to lose but u have to face the best A.K.A everyone good A.K.A STOP DUCKING PEOPLE U PUSSIES!!!!!!!!! THAT'S WHAT U BOX FOR, NOT MONEY BUT RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

"Joe, can I ask, why did you choose not to extend your expired contract with Frank Warren and decide to keep all the money from your remaining fights for yourself instead of giving him a wedge of it for basically standing around in a suit......oh hang on, it's alright, I think I've worked it out....."

I stopped reading that at the stage where Joe's offer in 2006 got a 1 truth rating, just because Pavlik's co-manager says so :patsch

I think that about sums up the integrity of that article.

It doesn't change the fact i was making, all fighters care about now is protecting that 0 and getting the most money they can get. They have forgotten what boxing is about........RESPECT, LETTING IT BE KNOWN THAT YOUR THE BEST AT YOUR CRAFT....NOT THE WEALTHIEST. the sport of boxing is so clouded right now........:-(

Well, you should have read a little further. Like Boo and I have been saying, it makes no sense that Joe would have offered Pavlik a fight in 2006. Just pick a guy out in a lower weight class and offer to fight him? I suppose they would have expected Pavlik to PAY for the privilege because he was a no one at that point? You would think his manager would be in position to know if an offer was made or not. The Calzaghe's have made it a point to discredit Pavlik and it is blowing up in their faces, except with Joe's fans who had to scurry for cover when Joe did something he had indicated to them he would not do. Take a fight with the 'shot' Jones instead of with Pavlik. Maybe he should have all copies of his autobiography recalled? Of course that won't help because he has repeated it in interviews now posted on the web. Oh what a tangled web it is now.....

but thats not what my post was entirely about. go figure a post on esb would also address a different yet related subject than the one in the thread title.
