Hamed was at his best at the lower weights. Pac wasnt at his best until 130 and he has still been getting better in terms of boxing. At 122 and lower Hamed wins, Pac wasnt as skilled at those weights as he has become. If you want to take a 130 pac from his last fights there and fight the 126 hamed that lost to barrera, then pac wins.
Dunno about his....at 122 Pac was raw but he was a blur, a nonstop punching machine with ridiculous pop.
I dont think he took that many real big shots from barrera. He mostly got outboxed and lost rounds. Barrera caught him alot off balance and caught him when he was showboating where he usually would get away with it, which made hamed look stupid. But barrera wasnt loading up alot atleast not from what I remember. There were a lot more flush bomb being landed in morales-barrera I between both of them compared to barrera-hamed.
You may be right, I would have to watch a bunch of both fighters on a big tv to really decided. I just have memory to go by and if I did have videos they would be crappy computer videos at 122 it may be getting into where hamed was tappering off and maybe pac would be fast enough and powerful enough there to stop him.
By the time Hamed decides to keep his guard up instead of holding his hands at his waist it would be too late. Pac by ko in the fourth.
Hamed was one of the few boxers to every really get on my nerves and the day MAB beat him is still one of my favorite boxng memories but I've come to appreciate the little Ham and honestly feel he is being extremely underrated here!
It depends at which weight, but I'd have to go with Pac; although it would be one hell of a fight IMO.
Not saying Pac couldn't win but... Some people are forgetting that Naz hit harder than Pac. Naz had 1 punch KO power. Pac don't, even though he hits hard. A prime Naz was harder to hit than Pac. Naz also had quick hands, you can argue that his chin is better than Pac's also. Take away that Barerra loss, then what would you say about Naz? He unified the Featherweight title, and was unbeaten for nine years. And all this Pac KO's Naz in 3 rounds bollocks, Naz was never stopped. On the worse night of his career he wasn't dropped. Pac has been stopped twice wether he was weight drained or not, it's on his record. Naz lost to Barerra that's it. No shame in that. Hell Morales lost to Barerra too. Pac in my eyes got schooled twice by Marquez.
Although I don't think Hamed would win, It wouldn't be a blowout as some would suggest. Pac fights nothing like Barrera, he is a swarmer who tries to overwhelm his opponents with speed and power. He leaves himself open as he goes in and out, something that a awkward counterpuncher would be able to take advantage of. Let's not forget Hamed was quick and had some insane power of his own, at least enough to keep Pac tentative and back him up (which makes him ineffective). I don't think Pac wins by KO either, Hamed had a great great chin, nearly every KD in his career was because of balance (due to his unorthodox style). If it was to be a stoppage, it would likely be later in the fight. I do see Pac winning however, his better technical skills along with his straighter and quicker punches would allow him to get through Hamed's guard. He would however eat his fair share in return, Pac is no Pernell Whitaker or Nicilono Locche. Both fighter could visit the canvas, but in the end Pac's busier style along with his speed and size would get him home. Pac by UD 116-112.
