the stoppage was premature in a relative sense simple because the fight was brutal throughout. I would have loved to see Marquez go on and I hadn't counted him out of the fight yet, but I can't really fault the ref for erring on the side of caution.

A bit anti-climactic for what has to be the fight of the year (to date).

 

Marquez was done his legs were weak u notice the bending in his knees ? His occasional punches had no snap plus he was taking bombs. Believe me id rather see a trilogy then read about Marquez being forced to retire or worse.

His eyes were glazed, he was getting hit by quite a few unblocked right hands, made no effort to block them when they had the tops of their heads together prior to the stoppage. He was still throwing but his punches had nothing on them, Vasquez however was still throwing with power. I agree with the stoppage. And I wanted and thought that Marquez would win. Great win for Vasquez, can't wait for number three.

Vasquez was whooping Marquez all night, anyone who had marquez winning up to that point was reaching out of their asses for him.

Marquez could of been seriously hurt, quit crying about ****ing vcash and wait for the 3rd fight.

Watch Raphs eyes after that last right....he was ready to go down and go to sleep....the ref did stop it slightly early, but he only postponed the inevitable (and the inevitable was about to happen quickly).
