The PPV numbers should explain them, don't really think Pac draws more than Floyd to be honest since both were in similar situations at some point in their careers and Mayweather made more.

Mayweather vs Baldomir on a poor undercard competing with a FREE SHOWTIME Heavyweight event involving guys like Briggs/Ibragimov/Baby Bull Diaz made $350K PPV buys.

Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz on a poor undercard that was competing with nothing that day made $190k PPV buys.

The PPV numbers of DLH/Pacquiao should decide if Pacquiao draws more than Mayweather or not, the Mayweather/DLH PPV buys broke all records, if Pac/DLH breaks it then yes he can draw more but based on that fact I mentioned above I don't think Pac is better in that department.

 

pac has a whole COUNTRY buying his fights init, so yes he will most liekly break the record as anybody that can afford it in the phillepines will buy it

 

still some1 gotta pay oscar and pac and in theory that means their getting paid x10 whatever money and oscar got in their fight

 

I remember dlh-floyd selling out in less than 30min and this sold out in a few hours.

Hell no this fight will not surpass Floyd and Oscar.
That fight was dubbed as the fight to SAVE BOXING.
They were actually talking about it on ESPN 4 a bout a month be4 the month.This is just another big event, but it wont b as big as FLoyd vs OScar as far as ppv #'s. A lot of people think this fight is a total farce to begin with. I being one of them. Oscar is a lil biotch for picking on Manny, I hope Pac can win. Oscar lost all my respect for this

 

lol@ Anyone thinking the population in the Philippines can effect AMERICAN PAY PER VIEW BUYS. For example, the British pay per view buys we're not factored into how many PPV buys Mayweather vs Hatton achieved, so it was likely much more than 800k.

The cable T.V. situation in the Philippines is completely different; most of them will probably be watching it for free. How do you think people watch PPV for free on sopcast; it's played completely free on their sports stations. Plus PPV buys are measured in "households," do you honestly think a nation with extreme poverty has the luxury for every person with a T.V. to be paying for it?
