What was Maxie Rosenbloom's style?

    it's a shame the boxing library was bought by espn who thinks we want to see no one but tyson and ali.

    Can't really say for sure, but based on what I know of Rosenbloom and what I've seen of Toney I would say Toney is a shade better. He doesn't maul and grab as much on the inside as Rosenbloom is said to have done.

    But that opinion is formed from never seeing Rosenbloom in action so I admit, it's more than a bit biased...

    Ah....no. The Big Fights, Inc. library was largely composed of films that Bill (who ever called him "Billy"???) CAYTON had accumulated, starting in the 1940's. Jacobs was a private collector who specialized in finding impossible to find films. They joined forces in the early 1960's, when Cayton would bankroll Jimmy's efforts to scour the world looking for the rarities. In the early 70's Cayton invited Jacobs to join BFI to expand and curate the growing library.

    When Jacobs and Cayton started co-managing Wilfred Benitez, Rosario, Tyson and others, it was the only thing they were partners in.
