    Absolutely agreed..........

No question about it.. He was not attempting to beat no count in reality..

Yes because he spent a few seconds deciding he wasnt fit to continue.

People dont realize how much Lou Duva confused matters here. His walking along the ring apron confused and distracted an already groggy Taylor.Instead of focusing on Steele he glanced at,and was momentarily puzzled by, Duva in his line of sight.

Meldrick Taylor lost. The fact that there was only 2 seconds left in the fight is irrelevant. Chavez knocked him senseless, and he failed to convince Richard Steele that he was ok. So he lost. Period.

As for the Mayorga fight, the bell ringing before the ref waving the fight off is irrelevant. When a knockdown occurs before the bell rings and there is no "saved by the bell" rule in effect, the round is more or less extended until the ref reaches 10, the ref waves the fight over, or the figher gets up before 10. I made the same analogy in another thread, and I'll repeat it here, it's like in a football game when there's 1 or 2 seconds left at the end of the 4th quarter. The clock will likely hit zero before the last play is completed, but the game isn't over until that play is finished.

Judging from the same old bile which is still being posted, some people clearly don't read the rest of the thread & just give their own opinion.

Hahahaha. This is exactly what a buddy of mine brought up after teheMosley KO. We have argued on the subject 100's of times... The difrerance is Mayorga was on his back out, Taylor wasn't.
