i think that he could grab an ABC Title with no problem he deff has all the physical tools to get a title and as you said he has a big heart and you cant teach that but i think he will have a above average career and not lose to many CW because there arent a ton of quality crusiers out there

    He's a very solid Cruiseweright.

His last fight was stopped way oo early though and he was in trouble against Nwodo early.

Overall I think he is championship material, but I believe his friend BJ Flores is a better Cruiser and will be champion first (whenever he gets back into the ring)...

i would not say he was hurt i would say off balance and he did look very beatable in the first 3 rds and as far as the stoppage it was going to happen anyway it was the right move imo too much blood and the cut was bad matt would of kept throwing bombs till he was out

Maybe, maybe not. The doctor has to assess the cut during a break in the action, not the ref in mid ring while fists are blurring.

Nwodo had just recovered when the fight was stopped, but you are right Matt is a good finisher and was all over him. Still early for my tastes though, but what a 4th round from Godfrey.

i was not impressed at all by him when i saw him lose to kraj in germany.

lack of passion/will to win/not willing to change gameplan when things are not working and was so easy to catch with potshots whenever he tried to press it even slightly.

he let a low key fight remain low key and was outboxed quite easily.

styles make fights but against a counterpuncher he struggles badly.

I thought Matt was caught but not hurt particularly against Nwodo.. He is quality no question, i just like many others think he needs to push a bit more to get attention.. He relaxes during fights and switches off.. Thanx for the feedback though.. (Nwodo had to be stopped though, the nose was dire and split terribly , no question..)

Titleholder yes. Undisputed champ or even unified champ probably not.
